Alexander for TCU & Smith for Ole Miss confirmed tonight. TCU has already said Teakell & Ferrell are unavailable out of the pen due to their work the other night. They have a couple decent arms out there still, but a lot of pressure on Alexander. Would presume Jordan Kipper will be a big in thevpitchng mix if Alexander sucks. Given that TCU's elite arms in the pen are out and Smith is very hittabe, I am leaning OVERs tonight. Hi my to think a while. Lots of rain during the day, but the night looks better. Winds may also not be a total beat down, less than 10 mph.

Thinking out loud. Believe the best over might be 1st Five Over 3 @ -120. Ole Miss still has a solid pen & will yank Smith if he gets in trouble. Thinking the same with Alexander, but his leash will be a little longer maybe. Runs might be there early and then fall off with nerves getting late in an elimination setting.Comment -

I have a hard time taking -1.5 for anyone in this tournament. Expecting Thornhill for UT. Not sure who is going for Vandy because they have some options. Thornhill has been awesome, so the likelihood of a close game even if Vandy wins could definitely happen. +1.5 has been far more fruitful of late for this tournament, although msot times the chalk has been large. Tonight's game is a coin flip. I'll probably regret not just going with the auto under, but just had a little feeling tonight.Comment -

Vandy gives Fulmer a full week of rest from his 1st start IF he is needed for an elimination game tomorrow. Only a slight drop off with Ferguson. Winds back to blowing in this afternoon. Even though Vandy has produced two Overs - I think it's back to auto under at 7. Thornhill has been sensational all year and Ferguson hasa .199 BAA on the season. Ole Miss could have gone with Ellis, but not surprising they chose a lefty instead to negate those lefty bats for UVA. Sborz has been solid mostly, did very well against Maryland in the Supers. Just a .204 BAA. Bullpens should be ok. Ole Miss did use a few arms, but should have the key cogs available. UVA should be good with an extra day of rest from the 15 inning battle with TCU. Don't imagine closer Nick Howard will be looked at for 4 IP again, but he should be able to give them a couple if needed. No total on 5d currently, but the props for the game look similar to Vandy-UT, so probably 7 here too.Comment -

So it's the conclusion of UVA-Ole Miss at 3pm ET. Then Vandy-Texas at 8pm ET. Should be French for UT and Fulmer for Vanderbilt. Would not expect the total to be more than 6.5, but thinking more like 6. Still thinking Under for that one as well.
Big question for me is hedging my Vanderbilt +400 to win the CWS future. Have to wait and see what the line is. Vanderbilt should still be a favorite, but I don't think they will be more than -150 if that.Comment
