Not surprisingly, books Jack the total to 8.5 for tonight. Winds again should be no factor. Very difficult to think about the Under because of Beede's struggles in the postseason, but he's capable any time of dazzling. Waddell is solid, but not spectacular.
May look st 1st Five Over 4. Starters should be on short leashes, so bullpens could stifle runs late.Comment -

Well this why they changed it to a best of 3. In the past, Vandy would have been crowned already. There's just so little margin for error in a one game scenario. But VA (who I think is truly the best college baseball team) gets a chance to redeem themselves and claim the title tomorrow despite one nightmarish inning in game 1.Comment -
Been a decade now with the best 2/3, agreed it was a great idea. Interested to see where Vanderbilt goes for their SP. Guessing maybe they go with Fulmer for however long he lasts since he only went 4+ three days ago. Brian Miller an option perhaps too. Maybe they go full bullpen just inning by inning with Stone and others. Sborz the obvious choice for UVA.

Oh damn, a decade already? Lol, it feels like it was just four or five years ago. I guess I don't follow the bases that closely, but yeah, a best-of series definitely trumps a one off. Baseball is just too streaky of a sport to settle the 'ship in one game.

Pitching confirmed. Fulmer for however long he can go then the pen. Sborz for UVA. 8.5 total. Winds blowing back in, but not blasting in. Tough on the total. Was not expecting these kinds of runs. UVA has hot bats. Vandys are cold. The total RHE intrigues me at 27.5. Seems like every game has multiple errors & even with the cold snap, both teams can get 7-10 hits or better.might try it on the over. Hedging UVA against my Vandy future.Comment -
