Boston worst record in the league last year, weren't they? now they're gonna go to the world series?
na. boston pitchers will get smoked. peavy is their ace. nuff said. tigers lineup is straight stacked this year. hunter and jackson haven't been getting on base too much to let cabrera do anything. that'll change against boston. too much power in the meat of our lineup if those two get on base to start.

True. But det starters go 7 innings minimum. Sanchez had the lowest era in the al and he's their third pitcher. i think they all will go a min of 7 innings so bullpen will only be a factor in 1 or 2 games max. it won't decide more than 1 game for bost imo. bost pitching blows. it will be a good series. tigers are much better than last year where they made it to the world series so that's why i like them.
good luck and goodnight

Boston has been the better team all year.
Really, so far in the playoffs the best team has won each round. If it stays true, it will be a Sox/Dodgers World Series and MLB would love it.

You really take this guy seriously? Or should I say poster.
You've been here long enough to figure out there are "probably" several accounts that are complete shams and it may even be one guy signing in under like three different names.
It's entertaining and it lets you know what sides you don't want to be on.

was about to say the same thing. Simply put Boston doesn't have enough pitching. I think this series ends fairly early and I think Detroit wins it in 5.

Lakerboy is interesting. I think I have him figured out mostly. He throws out picks that are off the wall that he knows won't likely hit for attention. He isn't as stupid as he comes off here though. Smarter than 90% of posters when it comes to gambling.

20 cents is a pretty big difference in a series line.
And how exactly was I "appalled"?

By your response. It was practically a scoff. As if to say how could you possibly think it would be -150.

Well given that's off by 37 cents vs. what the books have, I'm not exactly sure why you're surprised.
You really think Boston would be -150 in the ALCS against a team that beat them in the regular season series and only finished four games behind them in the overall AL standings?

I figured home field + better record + redsox inflated line would equal -150. That's not an overwhelming fave considering the homefield advantage. Again, it was only 20 cents off what you claimed to think it was going to be so I don't see the big deal.

I guess we'll just agree to disagree (again).
20 cents is a pretty big difference in a series price if you ask me -- as is 35-40, which is the actual difference compared to the real line -- but whatever.

its a dodgers red sox world series. Not sure why books keep giving away sox free series money but easier to just take it

Sad but true unfortunately. This is MLB's wet dream to have them and the dodgers match up. Itll happen no matter what they have to do

If Verlander continues to pitch like he has lately, Detroit will take this series prob in 6 games
Boston starting pitchers are very soft and I think they will get leaned on pretty heavy. Lester might be able to shut down a team, but Peavy and Lackey are scrubs who will get hit up, HARD.
Detroit can pitch a 3 man rotation of Verlander, Scherzer and Sanchez and that will be enough to win this series.
