What the FCUK did I just read. Care to elaborate which ONE HALF OF THE BODY it is ?
Big part of football is played ''in the air'' fighting with shoulders/head for the ball.
Plus many goals are headers. I have seriously never heard a description of football this stupid before.Comment -

i'm just trying to prove to the soccer lovers that it takes more athleticism to play basketball than soccer.
let's put it this way. lebron james is considered the most athletic nba player ever but allen iverson could've been a great soccer player with his "athleticism". do you get the picture?Comment -

I get a sense that you think people are born fully skilled. But they are not. Right ?
That being said and understood I'll give you an example - Yaya Toure.
He is 6'3'' and 195lbs and Steve Nash is pretty much the same. And since Nash being 6-3 /195 is one of NBA greats I can't see why Toure can't be. To add, Nash grew up playing football and THEN DECIDED to focus on basketball and look how that turned out for him. Do you get the picture ?Comment -

The original question was who was most athletic, not who would be better at the other's sport. In every sport there are some who are extremely gifted and could have probably excelled at another. This has been studied, and most physiologists, other athletes, etc. all agree that professional basketball requires more overall athleticism than professional soccer. Doesn't mean any one individual is less or more so than another.

Ronaldo is not up and down for 90 minutes, just up. And soccer players don't have all those physical battles and jumping is draining a lot of your energy.

I would've agreed with you completely if your whole debate was about how every nba player can be a decent goalkeeper. No doubt about that, they all tall, athletic. If you appr 1,80cm to 2,05cm I can't see a reason why not. But when I think of LEBRON playing 90 minutes in MIDFIELD or even DEFENSE. Imagine Bron defending a last minute one on one vs Messi or any fast prick, the little guy would go full football ankle-break on him and fly by him like a tree.Comment -

#65kind of hard to answer since the attributes required for their respective sports are so different. One thing is sure though, if there's a who's the bigger idiot contest and ghengis is taking part in it, he's definitely a huge favorite

Jelgava are missing a few players today but nothing too serious, Metalurgs is a totally different team from what it was a few months ago, now only youngn's and locals playin there but somehow they managin. Jelgava will defo not want to lose this one. From what I see the starting odds were 1,40 on Metalurgs and have now jumped to 1,90 which actually seems more reasonable. Thing is Liepāja don't need this one as much as Jelgava does. If anything dirty happens in this one then it should go in Jelgava's favor.Comment -

#69Yeah I know Liepajas arent the side they were last season,
but Jelgava need the points badly and with Liepajas not getting euro football - then i thought good chance for "friendly" points to Jelgava to help them avoid relegation.
