Has SBR done anything behind the scenes to try and get players a bailout of any kind? have you heard anything at all?Comment -

#320I can confirm that they have my info up there.
I am sure Dozer doesn't mean the data is faked though. He must mean that the headings and groupings are faked. Somehow I doubt that.
It's possible BI made headings in a database that SBR didn't know about. Or it's possible Dozer is lying again. I kind of lean towards that conclusion because, besides Dozer having zero credibility, the account numbers under "sbrmod2" are all higher. Mine is there. My account is pretty new. I signed up for this football season under the big bonus Jon hawked here on SBR.Comment -

No way those 2 guys sat around not caring if posters got hurt. I'll never believe that for one second.

#324How would SBR know that "Robbie" was the one who got the database? Because AB emailed people? Only some people got emails. I know I didn't.Comment -

#326Here's my guess...
It's just a guess but it does make sense. BI was a horribly run book with silly good promos (half point promo) and bonuses. If you had any clue you would have +EV there. It probably took SBR a while to figure out that BI was going to be LOSING money consistently. So for this football season (or sometime before that) they demanded a different deal with BI. One where they would get paid based on deposits, or a small % of action - something not related to losses, because Jon was simply not capable of running a profitable book (or he was straight scamming something like a ponzi scheme).
And that is why the high account numbers are listed under a different affiliate grouping named "SBRMod2". SBR will never tell us the truth. They never do. Maybe Jon or Ryan will, or will leak the info. But probably we will just never find out.Comment -

#327Mod would obviously be short for something like "Modification" in that scenario. I wouldn't assume it means "Moderator". I know my signing up had nothing to do with any SBR mods. It did go through poster "Betislands"/Jon though.Comment -

#328The fact that SBR was THE affiliate for Betislands brings up yet another interesting/damning point. They knew that BI was horribly run and was hemorraghing money year after year (they get regular reports on how their referrals are doing). The original backer would have had to have been a true whale for them to just assume everything would be A-OK with an idiot (or straight scammer) like Jon running the book into the ground. So when they found out (by their own admission) a few weeks back that the original backer was out and that Jon had to scramble to find a new backer, they had to know it could only end one way. This book had huge expenses (same day P2P, very expensive to pay out like that) and was easy for sharps to crush. You basically couldn't lose there due to the incredible half point promo, let alone the other weaknesses a sharp would find to exploit.Comment -

#330Two books are talking about what they can do. There have been four different books discuss it so far. Nothing has legs or reason to get hopes up. If something sticks I wouldn't necessarily expect typical bailout where everything gets absorbed.Comment -

#334This is the best Christmas present a scam sportsbook owner has ever received. These stories are from Robbie (Zach) M\*\*\*\*\*\* and his ************ which promoted his Apex Sportsbook. Apex Sportsbook closed with player funds and SBR quoted him as saying he had some of the player funds but wouldn't pay because he wouldn't be able to start another venture. We followed him with that for about 5 years until he paid some of the guys who were still contactable... This was the same site that wrote Heritage was an SBR scam with his America s Bookie banner inside and where the "bailout" email spam came from this week. He's been angry for a lot of years and loving watching guys react to his "coverage". We aren't going to be baited each time someone posts a quote from a bad neighborhood site like this.
This is the first time we've seen this list but BI Jon stated personally that it's faked and there was never a category called "SBRmod". We see what you see above. Regardless what of it is their real log, every site tracks campaign referrals in groups of users. It's how a Matchbook and even a Fanduel decides internally to renew. It's how all traffic is tracked including traffic from http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/odds and even Amazon's internal software. It's what changes after you select the "where did you hear about us" dropdown on most sites that have a signup.
It's been years since a site SBR and posters considered decent has failed and two in over a decade. Many more well regarded books have been pulled down, some temporarily for missteps with players or slow-paying. Books like BetOnSports and recently America s Bookie have offered to pay to be here. The posting board is about 25% of the SBR network and BI was about 1/20th of the sponsor here. It doesn't make business sense to risk reputation and not how a site is successful long term.
There is always going to be a conflict of interest when sites have "featured products". We know that which is why there are about 50 tools here to research what aspects are important to you. BI wasn't the #1 book, it wasn't even top 10 or top 40. But, it was a lot of poster's #1. It was a B book that started out doing things right but it was new. It will be the last B book.
We know now once the owner was out, in this case but not always, it was over. There was nothing players could have gained a week earlier had we taken them off the forum and of course nothing was gained by SBRforum. To my knowledge one could not signup. Unfortunately, a good in-tact brand wasn't enough for those in control to continue.Comment -

#335The list is incomplete. I signed up at BI through SBR. I was up a few K, cashed out all but $1kish, then lost all but $3 of that. I didn't re-up my account, partially because when I cashed out they literally sent me $100 bills in the mail. Anyway, my account is nowhere to be seen on the list and the 3 bucks was in there as of a couple days before they shut down. Others have reported their accounts were not there either, so the balance from SBR players likely exceeds the 1.5 million mark.Comment -

Well... It does NOT help their (SBR) cause when they begin with a lie
The 1st peep from them they were shocked on Tuesday as we were
Then SBR_John said he started asking questions on Sunday
Later SBR_John said it was late last week
Neither J7 , Lou or Billy will answer a simple question: When did you know BI was in the shitter ?Comment -

#337About 5 days or so they were citing processing issues it was very concerning since they had invested so much in taking it. At that point we weren't getting regular updates and we knew what the forum knew. They finally answered the phone and told us of plans not to pay the morning of the 18th. It was over a month before that they had an agreement in place to take it over.Comment -

#343Also, mods should probably delete the crap about people ratting on Justin7 for gambling. Nobody knows what he knew or when, and he lost more $ there than 80% of American households make in a year. As an attorney he's probably aware of reasons not to open his mouth. Even if people don't want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, we shouldn't be trying to destroy his career without knowing all the facts.Comment -

Of course I'm partial to Shari and would love to hear her take on it because she's by far one of the most logical thinkers at SBR but this isn't her mess to contend with and I'm not sure why I'm not seeing more from her but I can respect it.Comment
