#20Figure of speech, back then nobody knew how to play. It was so easy to get money on and off a site that there was a huge boom in beginners. That was before training sites, poker videos, and barely any advanced poker books were written. An average Joe now would be a world beater back then. I didn't really start playing "seriously" until around 07. By then the poker player pool was much improved. While we're giving away wishes, I'd know which sites would be taken down and when, and when to get my $ off.Comment -

#22If you're looking to get rich quick, go find something else now. If you want to make some extra side cash, start very small and make all your picks the same size. Until you can prove to yourself that you have learned from your mistakes don't change your wager size. Don't tail or fade a random persons picks, i don't care if he is on a 20-0 or 0-20 streak. Do your due diligence before you tail or fade someone and have a reason for betting on that game other than he or she likes or hates it. unless you are prepared to spend 30 hours a week being detailed, getting better every day, and never going over your head just know that this will be for fun and nothing more, EVER.Comment -

#23I learned that most of the people on this forum are broke life-time losers with psychological issues having to harass others based on their opposing picks...
I learned that the NBA is the most random fukking sport to bet on, ever.
I learned that after the All Star game, Vegas puts EXTREMELY HIGH juice on favorites whom lose more than they win.
I learned that despite lines being sharp, NFL is one of the more easy sports to wager on, along with College Football at times.
I learned that despite being aware of money management, I will continually build a nice bank roll winning a lot of small bets, then lay it all on a heavy favorite at over -300 just to win something like 50 bucks, lose the wager, then feel like a piece of shit.Comment -
