I'd be far less likely to point it out in this spot. If it cost $10,000 and they charged me $1,000, I wouldn't even think about not pointing it out.
As far as why on all of these, I have no idea. Sort of point runs into the opening part of response "I have a double standard, as does every other human on one issue or another. " for me it was naturally there wasn't the slightest bit of nervousness, hesitance or thrill in either scenario.
Edit to add: It has to have something to do with ringing up this way and showing me on a computer screen what I need to pay. Beyond that could think and analyse it a bunch. I'm sure someone could convince me and in future I'd do it differently. Hell might even be able to convince me 5 years after the fact to go bring back the money now. Just saying, both were very easy plays and without any sort of intervention wouldn't change those plays in future, as both were my natural response.
