I generally respect your posts and eye for upsets but your best spots are usually those that have very few, if any, reasons justifying the line, like the Kings series line against the Canucks. Your entire strategy is based on fading obvious sides in games with weird lines, which is legit, but you go on to cite 3 reasons based on normal handicapping strategy: (1) teams off tv games are almost always fade material, (2) hard to win 3 straight vs nfc north (don't know why this would the case), and (3) the dome is "always a tough spot" to play. Those are all common sense reasons to play the vikes. The whole point of these plays is there are no actual reasons to play them, not because you've rationalized a way to get there.

Because in 2 other threads I think you gave the same reasons for backing the other side. The GB and one other maybe it was last week. Both you said it's gonna be a letdown after a big TV game. You also mentioned you don't think SF will beat 3 NFC North teams in a row which is a good reason. I'm looking for a few more to see if I should ride the Viks spread with you because I'm lost on this game.

Boys this is almost a carbon copy of Houston vs. Jacksonville. Everyone saying Gabbert has improved, MJD will run the ball and keep it away from the Texans. How did that go? Pound 49ers here. The dome is not an intimidating place when the team is bad. It's a relic. I wouldn't be surprised if they black games out this season. This is the week Ponder reverts back to true form. 2 INT's minimum. 49ers win 30-10.

Vikings are better than people thought they were going to be at the start of the year. Their O-line is improved, Ponder is improved, the secondary is young but they still have a good pass rush. I would like this better if Jerome Simpson was playing, but he's not.

hey lb, not a bad look at this game as I also saw the line moving back and forth a little awkwardly.. I woulda thought SF would get pounded and the line would keep going deeper for them.. I saw it start at -7, move to -7.5, and then back to -7 at bovada. I was too much of a pussy though and I teased them with the giants + money last night.. so im on it +14. i'll be pulling for us, gl.
