another late start this week, little busy and got some work to do today,,,figured id post a few thoughts real quick and see if we can get some discussion going...
indy/pats...think this has to be pats or pass (would love it to get bet down to 8.5 and tease)...pats will stuff the run down indys throat, for whatever reason lately colts have had the good fortune of playing teams that abandoned the run gm, last 4 opponents only averaging 17 apg, i suppose some of that may have been crappy teams thinking they had to score on Luck, a few colts jumped out,,,im sure of 1 thing, pats will pound the rock and then pound it some more as only hou avg more rush attempts per gm than the pats and they love to pound the rock against teams that are vulnerable in this area (see colts 4.7 ypc against),,this smells of 15 play clock eating demoralizing drives where whenever needed brady will get a key 3rd down to keep things rolling...this puts a lot of pressure on any qb, especially a rookie no matter how gifted that rookie is...i see luck sitting on the sideline for long stretches then dealing with a lot of schemes he probably hasnt seen to date, yes pats pass d is bad and no doubt Luck will do some good things against them, however even during colts recent run of success they are only cashing in 50% of their red zone chances into tds (roughly same rate pats allow lately), on other side pats create more scoring chances than any team in the league and more times than not punch them in (again more pressure being applied to a young qb)..honestly the only way i see indy covering is a backdoor but imo you simply cant bet counting on that, it nice to have backdoor open as option but when it the only option i think you lay the points or tease the fav....
phi/skin is interesting to me,,sickening to say but only way id play is philly as i seem to love having this team screw me over at least once/maybe twice a month... one thing im not sure of is whether phi recent defensive slide is due to the team being a bunch of clowns who got a guy fired and dont give a shit or more to do with the offenses they have faced since the firing of DC? i dont know answer to this and wish i did....something i think i know is there starting to be a bit of a book on how to contain rg3 as a lot of his early success was scheme and athletic superiority, maybe shanny has some more things cooking after the bye but teams have clearly started making things much more difficult on this offense...i know another thing, while we dont really know what Foles will be and we do know phi oline cant block, i also know that skins dont generate pressure worth a damn so im calling phi bad oline a wash this week, i could pass on skins d and Foles is a much better qb than i ever dreamed to be... maybe im just being nostalgic of the one phi bet i won this year @ pit +3.5 (well side, we hit a few totals), or maybe for all phi issues they have better talent all over the field in this gm, but damn they dysfunctional..lol..to me it phi or pass...
mia/buf....havnt gotten far on this gm, but initial thoughts is fitzpatrick turns it over a handful of times and mia rebounds on the road where they like it better anyways...

bal/pit..im sure this gm be talked about plenty and as of now i have zero interest...tend to think slugfest way more likely than cakewalk most seem to think this be for ravens but im way far away from deciding to play anything on this gm..
ive finished very little on this card but when i have a chance tonight i will try and hammer most of it out,,,as always look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on these and any other gms this week as that why i do this thread and has made it one of the more enjoyable ones ive ever been a part of thanx to ya'll

few games I wont be touching this weekend including the eagles game.
my fav game this week is Gb in Det. Detroit has no secondary to speak of. Only chance detroit covers this game is if Stafford has the game of his life. I would love to bet against that. Detroit is completely inept on 3rd down ..they dont know how to take a lead early in a game..

call me crazy but Id prefer taking Dallas this week @ home. I am a true dallas hater, but if there was any opportunity for dallas to go on a mini-roll this is it. far as gm goes i honestly have no interest in this one,,,lions one of those teams that more than capable of beating most and losing to most (guess could be said bout several teams but more so with these guys)...even off bye pack far from healthy, dont know what to say really,,im allergic to "free money", lol.. not that im saying pack wont win and cover, they prob will just dont get involved in a lot of gms like this and think i have stayed away from det gms for most part all season as i never really know with them...Comment -
i think you underestimating skins piss poor defense, also think you judging him unfairly when he came into middle of gm with very few if any 1st team reps,,i never judge a qb to harshly in those spots and he was playing a very good defense, now he gets a week to prep and a d that cant handle the weapons around him, think Foles can run Reid offense decently at least, unlike vick he can see over the line, 3 step drop and bang fire it into the skill guys and let them handle the rest (shouldnt be all that different from being back at college, think if andy does anything well he prepares qbs for this, look at some of the trash that looked like treasure early on with Reid floating around the league)...just not buying skins as more than a fg fav against anyone...guess im pissing money this week cause almost for sure ill be on phi...Comment -
lol no doubt I understand your hesitance on betting Lions games. I deserve to be castrated for taking the lions last week. Being up in Canada I consider the bills and lions to be my only real teams so Ive watched them a lot... like u said Lions can beat the best and lose to the worst. One of if not THE most unpredictable, talented, poorly coached teams in the NFL. In this spot specifically, for me it's more of a play for the Packers coming off a bye with a nice small spread. I wish the lions would watch wat the Cards do with Fitzgerald pre-snap.. thye move him around everywhere almost every play and really know how to create opportunities for him. The Lions just expect Stafford to throw it into double, sometimes triple coverage and hope Calvin makes a play. once again goes back to how poorly this team is actually coached. whenever they are in a desperate game, they lay an egg. far as Jermichael Finley goes think this week is the perfect storm for him. He's been quiet as f*ck all season and I think McCarthy will have more than few plays drawn up for him this week after watching Zach Randolph rape Detroit all over the field last week.Comment -

phi+3.5..1.5x....i already talked about this gm above,,i went back and watched replay of dal/phi gm as i didnt catch much of it Sunday, honestly smut i dont get why you dont think Foles can do the job? i mean yea he made some bad throws leading guys to far or little behind but i think that more timing than anything, kid has strong arm and quick release i mean yeah he made few bone head plays but that to be expected and think he prob only make one of those at most this week against a must lesser d and some coaching up during week,to me phi wrs will come to like getting the ball quick and on move (long as he stops leading them into a defender, that was something he did more early in the gm tho),,i thought besides the instant pressure off the edge he handle pretty well and had command of the gm, i mean after punt return he got shaky but again to be expected...i was never on thought process that phi problems be fixed with pulling vick but i do think Foles may be good fit and again i think reid excels at preparing a qb like this, i mean look how much improved he made vicks gm out of prison until the hits started piling up,,kolb (we know he sux), who the other guy before him? (damn weed) but you get what im saying... on other side maybe shanny has some tricks after bye but i been saying for a minute that teams starting to get a book on limiting rg3 and skins offense and it has shown.. i may have mentioned already but skins d is a disaster and i feel they will have to bring extra ppl if they wanna pressure and im sure they will want to pressure the rookie, which leaves a not great secondary dealing with some talented wrs in space, i think foles stands in and delivers them the ball and phi gets the W..dont know what gonna happen with line but happy with 3.5, may play ml later...of coarse this wouldnt be the 1st time i was wrong on phi, so we shall see..Comment -
wanna play rams as although this a gm where lot of ppl will be looking to fade nyj and play stl off of last week to me it never about last week but body of work at this point and imo the rams are simply the better team here,,,problem is i dont really wanna lay the hook or the -3 -135 so gonna wait on line but did do this for now..
