#72so true man I dont think this is a bad post. I mean lets stay on the NFL and people who have messed up legally. Plaxico got caught with a gun thats a couple years right there, but he could of helped himself a little if he agreed to the NFL's request to promote non-violence trips to local schools to explain what he did was wrong, but declined and spent time in jail. Stallworth...I mean the guy killed someone while he was intoxicated and spent a month in jail. You are 100% right, theres no way Vick should have spent 3 years in jail for that, when like you said rapists, child molesters like the fuckin scum of the earth go to jail and are out in less time. Only good thing about this is Vick is back kicking ass and taking names. I love when he pisses on these defenses that have no idea how to stop a lighting bolt with a seed of an arm.Comment -

#73I find it hilarious that some falcons fans still believe he did the falcons wrong..The time he spent in Atlanta,he did 2 things: 1-sold out the dome (a town known for empty seats) and 2-carried a mediocre team on his back and made them competetives. the people that did not want him in Atlanta got what they wanted in the end..him out of there and a new QB...So tell me again how he did the Falcons wrong? The guy got atleast 5 good years of football left in him and I wish him the best..Anyone who still feel animosity towards him are just wrong

Anyways to stay on topic I'm surprised how Vick handled everything and he was a great QB for the Falcons and it sucks that he got caught up with trouble. People are still bitter because of how we had to terminate his contract and we were left with Redman and Harrington for a season at QB, but that was the past. I'm a HUGE Michael Vick fan and never stopped being a fan. Watched this kid in College and the day he became a Falcon was awesome. Was and still is a very exciting QB and I'm glad hes earned a starting spot on another team. Just waiting for him to sign a new long term contract with a franchise and i'll buy his jersey.

Many people game hunt as a luxury, purely for the thrill and not because they are starving. If you don't know that then you don't know nothing about hunting. I lived in Georgia and South Carolina and they have some of the highest deer hunting there. Most people going on the hunt, kills for the thrill, while only a few people actually clean and eat the meat.
Why do you think we have hunting regulations for almost every animal? Because we have too many people that abuse animal populations and would drive most extinct. There's a lot of people who shoot animals and leave them dying in the woods just for the thrill.
Did you ever hear of Internet hunting? Using remotely controlled firearms that was aimed and shot using online webcams? No eating of animals involved in that. Why do people hunt big game? They certainly don't HAVE to eat. We actually have very few people starving in the US and I can bet you that the majority of them don't even have a gun to hunt.
People have been abusing and killing innocent animals for centuries. People kill them for sport. Yes some do for food and clothing but not everyone. One of the main reasons for the domestication of the dog was to find chase and retrieve game during the hunt. Prior to that, dogs were consider game.
BTW - stray dogs and cat's along with pidgeons can still be hunted without a license today.Comment -

#88Let me say, that I love animals. I can't stand to see any animal in pain/injured, etc. I've seen video's of sharks being demolished for their fins, elephants killed for their ivory, dolphins caught in fisherman's nets and it breaks my heart...
BUT, I am and will always be a human first, animals 2nd proponent. I could never choose an animal (even my own 10 year dog) over a human life. They're not on the same level. If we found out that by bashing baby seals that they secreted a special enzyme that cured cancer then I would be a proponent for bashing baby seals.
The inequity with a few of our laws is that it gives animals more rights than humans. That's the problem. Vick spends years in jail for killing dogs, while Stallworth spends a few days after killing a father of 3. Plaxico spends years in jail for shooting himself, while Michael Milken gets indicted on 98 counts of racketeering and securities fraud, bilks thousands of people out of money, tax evasion, selling phony stocks and he spends less than 2 years in jail and kept millions of dollars for himself. How many people call Milken all the names Michael Vick is being called in this forum? Milken today is worth billions and is considered a philanthropist and model citizen. What a bunch of bullshit. #90I've lived all around the US, in 14 different states. I don't know too many people that hunt squirrel, rabbits, beaver, musk rat, otter's, oppossum, raccoon, porcupine, skunk, ringtailed cat or armadillo's for primary food source. I've eaten squirrel, possum and coon's before but not particularly fond of them enough to live off of them. I also don't know who eats Bear meat but they've been hunted for their heads to go on someone's trophy case. Many people game hunt as a luxury, purely for the thrill and not because they are starving. If you don't know that then you don't know nothing about hunting. #91I have lived in the south for most of my life and have hunted for a long while. I know of nobody and have heard of nobody that just goes and kills an animal and leaves it in the woods. Never seen it as well. You go and shoot a deer you field dress it, and carry it out of the woods, skin it, and get the meat. The whole point is the meat. Is it fun and exciting to kill a deer? Hell yeah it is. Ever gone turkey hunting? Wild turkey is great stuff. While some people may hunt for pure pleasure, that bast majority of us hunt for the thrill and the food.
I'm just joking with you. I have no problem with hunting for fun or for food. Animals were put on earth for man, not the other way around, if you believe the bible. I believe needless torturing of animals is sick and disgusting but as long as it's your property and not mine, I don't have a big problem with it but agree with laws to prevent it. I don't think it should be jail time but it should be a big ass fine.Comment -

What you think is comparable based on a gradient of "...Holy Shit That's Fvcked Up, But It's Not As Bad As This Fvcking Bullshit Right Here!..." is not apt at all.
Just stop.
You're so evasive, but it's even more surprising that you made a post and prefaced it by saying that "hey, I know this won't be popular" schtick.
No, you're not stupid (well, I really hope not THIS stupid), but you're making a post expecting a certain number of people just being innane and making 10-year-old rhetorical analogies like intimating that whomever is opposite of your thought thinks that rape or murder is worse than killing an animal.
I'm not a fvcking moron like those that you associate yourself with. Those issues have nothing to do with the case at hand.
This is painful to try and comprehend, putting myself in this type of deduction.
Exclamation points and matter-of-fact, incredulous questions aside from the bullshit that you think is cleverly putting forth in this "argument", this issue, again, has nothing to do with another crime, whether you think the punishment fits.
Just think about it, if you can.
You're even more quotable than the worst of warped Tea-Partiers with the comparisons that you THINK that you have made.Comment -

But, you know what, they have nothing to do with Vick's crimes.
Nothing. At. All.
Nothing.
Stop.
Fighting. Shooting. Drowning.
Dogs.
That's it.
What the fvck is going on? Do you guys think that you're "in" with Vick, or the supposed sect of life and/or culture that he's apart of?
Like, you owe him something for all of his on-field greatness?
Whether his punishment is of the correct ratio, being on par in deference to more serious offenses, is a problem that you should probably take up with the judicial branch of our government from a grassroots level.
Regardless: Dog Killer.
The subject of the thread: "Leave Vick Alone..."
Fvck that.

#102Dude, Joe Shabadoo, take a chill pill.
I was among those calling for a lifetime ban when Vick left the league. I was among the Eagles fans disgusted when our team picked him up. I didn't think the mindset of greed and cruelty it takes to be running that enterprise when you don't need the money could be redeemed. The one thing that had me a little hopeful was Tony Dungy's counseling and endorsement.
Since then, Vick's attitude has changed visibly from what it was in Atlanta. You can see it in his eyes. I frequently hear about Vick being active helping out in the community. He has spoken out actively against the gangster/criminal "culture" and forsaken the idea of "street cred". Whatever happened in the nightclub incident, nobody can say, but he was cleared of involvement. Vick has proven me wrong, and with his improved accuracy and commitment to winning, he might prove everyone who doubts he can be a superstar wrong too.
The problem isn't that Vick has been given a second chance, the problem is that in our society those who have made mistakes and truly reformed aren't given second chances often enough.
As for Stallworth and Big Ben, Stallworth made a huge mistake, but it was still a mistake and the consequences were up to the judge and jury. Big Ben had a cover up ready to go and no reason for being in some backwater bar except to find someone to rape. Roethlisberger is scum in my book and got off too light. Like you keep saying though, that's got jack to do with Vick.Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.Comment -
