Notre Dame's offense looked terrible in their first full game without Abromaitis. Admittedly, Gonzaga is quality competition, but the Irish figure to struggle for a bit to find new roles in his absence and figure out who is going to be the primary scorer. Maryland is young and still learning what Turgeon wants from his team, but they do have a stud in Stoglin in the backcourt. James Padgett looks like he is developing into the low post presence the Terps need to compete. If he can have a solid game scoring and on the boards, I think the Terps could steal a win here at home.Comment -

Elon has been a bit surprising this season as they Phoenix weren't expected to be a contender in the Southern Conference. But here they are at 5-2 with a win over a SEC team in South Carolina and generally competitive against teams on their level. Find it hard to back UC-Greensboro here as they have been horrible on defense, allowing 50% shooting and 77 ppg. They have not shot well either. Elon looks like the better team on defense and slightly on offense. Will be close here, but I think Elon can win on the road tonight.

I felt less sure about DePaul. Their defense is poor enough to lose. They should win at home though, but that was the one thing that kept me off them at the end of the day. Today is a good day to play just 2nd halves I think. Small card and people might be forcing picks some.Comment -

Brown has been flat out terrible on the road, losing by margins of 9, 26, 13 & 21. Providence isn't as talented as last year due to the loss of their leading scorer, but they have owned this "rivalry" for the past four years with big, double digit wins. They still have enough diversity scoring-wise to handle non-Big East competition. They have four players averaging double digits. Brown has a really good player in McGonagill, but Brown's biggest problem has been getting worked over on the boards. PC isn't a "big" team, but they have banged the boards well at home at +37 in four games. Brown is -49 in five road/neutral site games.Comment -
