PSA: I don’t owe anybody on this forum anything. You found me in here, I certainly didn’t go out looking for the followers. My record for this season is above, last season’s selections were: (229-165-8 +104.15x). So let’s do a little math for the last 1.5 seasons alone:
$25 bettor: $3694 net profit
$50 bettor: $7387 net profit
$100 bettor: $14,775 net profit
$500 bettor: $73,875 net profit
$1000 bettor: $147,750 net profit
$2500 bettor: $369,375 net profit
Get my point? I’ll be alright posting in here in or not.
You can find the rest of my results in the 713 pages of clutter. If you can do better, I’m happy for you – I’d love for you to share the insight with the group so we can all improve. If you’re a helpless soul, there’s a million touts out there hidden behind fake records that you can pay for picks. All in all, the trolling doesn’t matter because you’re in my thread built by 4 guys who posted their insight asking for nothing in return.
Back to what matters, the inevitable slump isn’t over so next couple of days I’m just going to write some thoughts about matchups you guys may be interested in. What games are you looking at? Hopefully I can get to them throughout the day.
Cheers to you. If you change your mind and end up in Vegas March 15th. I buy you a round of golf at the Wynn.Comment -

#24964I know Ayo has asked for games you're looking at, but I always thought his plays were best when he wasn't fielding questions about other games and sometimes eventually adding one of those games as an official pick....those added after the fact as a result of answering someone's question didn't seem to win as often as his initial plays. Just thought it was contamination because folks can't stand to only make a couple of picks per evening. If he didn't initially have it as an official play, then probably was a no play for him.Comment -

I really like this ETSU team: they’re a veteran squad, they’re athletic, love to get out in transition, can stroke the 3, and they crash the glass hard. I always look to back these type of teams due to their ability to cover the spread. In this first matchup between the two I was mainly concerned about 3 things for Samford : Samford getting crushed on the offensive glass, ETSU getting whatever they wanted at the rim, and Samford not being able D up in transition. Samford did pretty well in all of those areas but just couldn’t keep up in 2OT – didn’t help Denzel-Dyson & Walker both fouled out. Samford can really shoot the 3ball so if they get open looks they can stick around again. I’m pretty confident Furman beats WCU so important for ETSU to get the win tonight to stay at the top of Southern Conference standings but they’re coming off an efficient 1.33 PPP vs Mercer so they’ll probably cool off a bit tonight. Not sure how the familiarity aspect plays into the 2nd matchup but as a CBB fan I hope we see another thriller.
Creighton/SH
I’m still a believer in this Creighton team with Watson done but he played a big part in their first matchup vs. the Pirates facilitating the O. I’m interested to see how Creighton’s guards are able to create similar opportunities vs. a good rim protecting defense. Creighton was red hot vs DePaul on Saturday but I’m confident they won’t get similar looks tonight. Sanogo’s status is big for Seton Hall as they could really use his presence in the paint. If you’ve sided with Seton Hall this year you’re aware of their ugly offensive woes and stretches of turning the ball over every possession.
Arkansas/South Carolina
Not really interested in this matchup. South Carolina should do fine vs. Arkansas pressure but more interested to see how SC does once they beat the press and falls back into the half court. We see South Carolina with terrible offensive possessions from time to time but they can expose Arkansas on the offensive glass. South Carolina defense is obviously awesome, especially around the rim but if Arkansas gets out in transition and knocks down jumpers they can certainly stick around.
Northwestern/Maryland
Great win for Northwestern @Wisconsin with no Lindsey on Sunday. Possible let down game tonight for NW? Obviously Maryland has exceeded expectations, especially Vegas’ expectations. I’d probably lean Maryland in this situation but I think their success tonight comes down to Trimble’s ability to attack and create offensive opportunities vs. an awesome Northwestern defense. Northwestern shot well from 3 vs. Wisconsin and if they’re falling at the same rate tonight vs. a Maryland D which will allow jumpers Terps could be in trouble. All in all, I think there’s a chance NW comes out flat tonight.Comment -

#24971Hey Ayo, just a quick question/comment for you..
Are you not making plays tonight yourself or are you just not posting your plays bc of the cold streak?
Im asking because I thought what you said earlier about your record and not owing anyone anything was so spot on and accurate. I took you not posting plays though as a result of this cold streak and the trolls you have been getting in here. I hope I just misunderstood that because I wouldnt want these trolls to have any bearing on how you do things in here. Im assuming if it was just a cold streak you would continue to post plays and ride it out. Also, if you didnt receive any negative comments after last night I assume you would still be posting your plays today.
Again, I could be completely misunderstanding your reasoning for not posting your plays. Ive been lurking for awhile here and tailing you and want to say thanks for all your hard work!Comment -

Furman is red hot going for their 10th win in a row tonight taking down SoCon favs ETSU & Chattanooga along the way. They absolutely dominated WCU in their first meeting. WCU’s 0.54 PPP performance in the first meeting is LOL funny to think about but they just could not get anything offensively and while Furman torched them from all angles. Relatively speaking, WCU’s offense has improved slightly since their last meeting but other than that I’m having trouble finding anything positive to say about the Catamounts. WCU young guards turn the ball over at an alarming rate and Furman plays great on-ball defense to create those turnovers. Furman has just played so good recently they’re due to for a letdown game which could lead to a no cover situation but I don’t think WCU is the team to give them an actual scare.
Indiana State/Loyola Chi
Indiana St offensive is put your head through the wall painful at times but Loyola’s defense isn’t all that great. In their first meeting Loyola couldn’t miss and don’t see them shooting nearly as well. Indy St actually protects the rim quite well but second chances could lead to open 3s which Loyola will take advantage of. Indiana St can take advantage of Loyola in transition but if they fall back into the half court they’ve looked lost at times this year.
Cincinnati/USF
Cincinnati should get back on track tonight after loss vs. SMU on Sunday. Only positive thing to say about South Florida in this matchup is they protect the paint fairly well. Cincy’s bigs are just too dominate and should continue to crash the offensive glass effectively like they’ve done vs far superior teams. South Florida turns the ball over a ton and their offense is terrible. 20pts is a lot to cover but a ton of advantages for the Bearcats tonight.Comment -

#24988Don't waste your time on Marshall and teams that don't play defense. It's a coin flip bet. If they're not hitting, then it's flushed money. At least with a team that plays some defense, you're still in it if they're off that night. Also, the revenge factor is out the window for teams that don't play defense. Defense is about pride. No pride, no revenge factor in you.Comment -
