    Big Ten Thread 2/18-2/24
    #15 Purdue (21-5) @ -5 #14 Indiana (21-4) o/u 132
The first Big Ten match-up of the week has the Purdue Boilermakers traveling to Indiana to face the Hoosiers. This is a huge game for both teams as Indiana looks to close within half a game of the Big Ten leading Boilermakers. Indiana is currently 10-2 in the conference and Purdue is 12-1. A win for Indiana will also put them in a tie with Wisconsin for 2nd in the standings. Wisconsin has handed them both of their conference losses. Michigan St is the only conference opponent to hand Purdue a loss.

    The Hoosiers
Indiana is 14-2 in home games this year with losses coming to Uconn as big favorites and a 2 point loss to Wisconin 5 days ago. Indiana is also 40-5 at home the last 3 years. The Hoosiers are 5-8 ATS at home overall and 6-6 ATS against conference opponents. Indiana shot an astonishing 54.4% in their last home game against Michigan St and won by 19, bouncing back from a 2 point home loss to Wisconsin in which they shot 47.1%. Indian is 5-5 ATS and 7-3 SU in their last 10 games which includes both of their home losses.

    The Boilermakers
The Boilermakers look to keep piling on to their 11 game winning streak in this pivotal match-up in their quest to win the Big Ten. Purdue beat Wisconsin in both games this year and with this win they would own the tiebreaker over their top 2 conference contenders. Purdue is 14-9 ATS overall and 7-1 ATS on the road only failing to cover by one point at Missouri on Dec 18th. Purdue has road losses to Missouri, Mich St, and Clemson making them 5-3 SU on the road. They were at least a 9 point dog in each of those match-ups. Purdue is 11-2 ATS against conference opponents and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games including their last 6 on the road.

    The Shooters
The Hoosiers have 4 players that average double digits in scoring, led by freshman guard Eric Gordon who averages 21.7 ppg. Chris Kramer is tied for the team lead with 2.8 apg and chips in 6.9 ppg. Nemanja Calasan averages 6.8 ppg while JaJuan Johnson contributes 5.6 ppg.

    Offensive Statistics
The Boilermakers put up 68.5 ppg while shooting 42.9% from the floor and 36.1% from beyond the arc. On the road they average 70.2 ppg while shooting 46.1% and 36.6% beyond the arc. Indiana averages 76.2 ppg while shooting a very strong 47.5% from the floor and 31.3% from 3-point land. The Hoosiers put up 80.8 ppg while shooting a staggering 50% from the floor and a solid 39.3% from downtown when playing at home. The Hoosiers have the edge from the charity stripe shooting 76.1% while Purdue shoots 71.9%. Purdue commits 19 fouls and 13 turnovers per game while dishing out 13 assists per game. Indiana commits 18 fouls and 13 turnovers per game while dishing 14 assists per game.

    Defensive Statistics

The Boilermakers collect 8 steals per game compared to 7 per game by the Hoosiers.

D.J. White is listed as questionable with a sprained knee.

Current line has the Hoosiers favored by 5 with the total set at 132. I am leaning heavily towards the over. I am holding off on the side until I know the official status of White. If White does not play then Purdue has to be the play for me.

              Nice info here.

I don't know what to make of the IU/Purdue game dude. I just read White should play tonight but that still alot of points to give to a very good purdue team. No side for me here, if white wasn't playing I take purdue plus the points all day, but the line is getting higher, and i bet white plays.

Over does look good, going to look some more

Randle was already ruled out from what I've read and is most likely out for the rest of the season.

llinois men's basketball coach Bruce Weber expects starting forward Brian Randle to miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

Looks like the Indiana Boycotters are going to play even with Dakich as the coach. The administration scrambled to accommodate the players though by naming McCallum the assistant "head" coach.

                                      imgv,

that is what i've been saying for a long time. I want one guy for every conference. Its impossible to follow all the conferences like I do the big east, i watch every game. Chandler is starting on the SEC, and I can't believe an ACC guy hasn't shown his face yet

LK, I can write a few on the ACC if nobody steps up soon. I follow the SEC more but the ACC is easy to follow, cause every Duke and UNC game is televised.lol

                                        Surely somebody will step up.

its cool man the SEC is fine. I can't stand the overrated ACC anyways. IF you follow the SEC the most then that should work out better. GL today my man.

No...I ended up with Wisc -1, NC St +5.5, WF +16, and the Celts -5.5. Luckily WF was +16 at Betjam so I got the push and a little winning today.
