Math question, which i am struggling to understand
if a league has 20 team league and they play each other 2 times, one home and another way. This is a total of 38 games played per team....
The question is this, why is the total amount of games played in the season 360 and not 720?

Simple question if you remember that it takes 2 teams to play each game.

I also think you mean 380 game per year and not 760 based on a 20 team sched but that's beside the point.

If all the teams play on the same day each week over the course of 38 weeks, how many GAMES are played each week? Well 20 teams, so 10 games are played each week. 10 games a week over 38 weeks = 380.

Thank you very much, obviously not a math major in college but this problem was stumping me.
