    Conference Tourny Trends?
Does anyone know any trends on teams playing in the 2nd day in a row against a team playing their first game?

Probably good advice none the less. I know in the NBA 2 days in a row is suicide. College, not so sure.

its not as big of a deal in college. especially for some of the bigger conferences where they are playing in a venue like Madison Square Garden for the Big East, the adrenaline kicks in when you get on the big stage and its literally do or die/go home time.

I don't have any specific trends, but take this case study of "tired legs" from back to back games that I cited as an example from last year.

in the first round of the BE tourney last year Syracuse beat Seton Hall handily
the next night they played the instance classic epic 6 overtime gave vs a very tough uconn game.

the next night you would think they had to have pretty damn tired legs right?

nope, they beat a fresher WVU team in OT. so they had the legs to out least another team that had not played yet, after having played 110 minutes (almost 3 full games worth of minutes in 2 days previous)

they did lose in the championship to Louisville FYI

also if you do believe in tired legs for college kids, don't just blindly bet unders on that game.... the legs affect defense and defensive rebounding more than anything. leading to easier baskets, transitions baskets, offensive rebounding for the opposing team, leading to easier second chance putbacks ect...

so at BEST this theory would cancel out any negative affect being "tired" had on team A's offense
