    Yeah, those definitely make sense.

My surprise so far would have to be Syracuse. After losing Flynn, Devendorf, and Harris I thought they would struggle but transfer Wesley Johnson has stepped up huge. The way the romped Cal and UNC was quite impressive.

My disappointment would be Michigan St. Yes, they are 6-2 but with all the praise they had heading into the season they should be undefeated. A top 5 team beats a young UNC team early in the year, and you can't lose to Florida. They should've lost at home to Gonzaga, too.

The Pac-10 as a whole. I didnt know that it would be so pathetic.

I dont see any NBA 1st rounders in the whole conference, or team who will get out of the first week of March Madness.

The way Oklahoma opened the season losing 3 straight to unranked teams.

Blake Griffin left a Black Hole that Jeff Capel couldn't coach his way out of.

Yeah, the Conference USA might be better. That's bad.

I think Pondexter will work his way into the 1st round, but yeah, it's hard to see much else.

St. Mary's is one of the biggest surprises to me. New Mexico as well. Both of those teams were NCAA Tournament-quality last year, lost a majority of their talent, but are still doing work right now. Cal has had injury issues (and Wilkes choosing not to come back was a major blow in the offseason) but they have been a train wreck. So much for being the best in the Pac-10.

Not sure how popular this thought is, but Kentucky is actually much worse than I thought they would be. And I agree that my alma mater, Syracuse, has been a great surprise.

UNLV has won 2 straight games against big time competition. @Arizona, and Louisville.

They have good guard play, but the frontline will probably get exposed down the line. Big game against K-St. on Dec. 12. I will be their in full UNLV garb.

                Yeah, good call with UNLV.

LaSalle looks like they are going to be another disappointment as well. And how about UMass? Those guys are just completely rolling over. I know they don't have a ton of talent and that they kind of sucked last year, but the program has fallen off the map since Ford left.
