    kenpom ?
I'm going through Kenpom and his ratings and how he comes up with his 4 factors that go into computing offensive and defesive efficiency ratings and I'm confused on rebounds.

He says that to accumulate an offensive rebound % for a team he uses a simple formula of OR/OR+DR and likewise for defensive rebounding %. I'm trying to use this to find teams that can not solely be murdered if the jump shot isn't falling as offensive rebounds help that out with 2nd chances. But when I go to CBS sports and look at team stats it doesn't add up. For instance tomorrow Saint Mary's is playing Boise. St Mary's has 220 total rebounds, 63 offensive and 144 defensive. Using the formula to compute the offensive rebounding % I get roughly 28%. Kenpom has them at 37.9 in that category. I went back through the gameplans for each team they played and the average for offensive rebounding came out to around 38.66.

So question is what is more useful. Logging the formula in from cbssports stats or going by Kenpom? I generally use him more to see effective FG% on each side of the ball and where the % of the points come from and FTA/FGA to see how well each team attacks the basket and gets to the line, but his stats don't add up to me right now vs what I see at other major sites.
