Wow, upset city tonight, I can't be too mad at the A&M loss, my boy Xavier Simpson was killing it when I was watching. I would love to see Xavier Simpson vs Dakota Mathias and Purdue in the finals. I mentioned before Xavier graduated from my high school and I went to school with his dad and Dakota graduated from my wife's high school, so I been cheering for them all year, even though I'm a Buckeye fan. A little bit of Xavier trivia, he wears #3 after his cousin Greg Simpson who was Mr. Basketball in Ohio, I think it was 1990 and played in the Mcdonald's All American game and won Freshman of the year in the Big 10 for the Buckeyes, before he got in trouble and got kicked off the team and transferred to West Virginia, where he also got kicked off the team. I went to all of Greg's high school games and he was the best high school player I ever saw by far, but he ruined it all because he was a thug who was used to getting his own way. Hopefully Xavier has learned from that and can pick up his offense scoring and then he will be an excellent player.
I thought it was strange how Clemson stopped fouling, only down by 4 in the final seconds. I mean Virginia was down 4 with under a second and won the damn game. You got to at least try, but whatever, that's betting, it's a dirty business and I know that going in, still pisses me off momentarily though.

I actually was too busy to watch the Michigan game, and I'm just now reading about it. It seems like for the at least the 3rd time this tournament that a team suspiciously decided not to foul in the final seconds of a close game and it affected the spread. Providence, Clemson and now Florida St. Providence I believe lost the spread by half a point, Clemson pushed or lost the spread depending if you got +5 or +4, and it screwed most Michigan bettors as I think most had them at -4.5. Luckily, I was on the winning side on two of those three, but can it be more obvious. I just mentioned this yesterday how in a regular season game, Virginia down by 4 with less than one second left, scored 5 points and won the game and it boggles my mind that a coach would just give up in the NCAA Tournament with time on the clock.
