Curious why you like Austin Peay so much in this spot? Not questioning it, i just no nothing about either team.

really quickly take UNC Wilmington again at PK


after a tough loss to Belmont (~23), Austin Peay is obviously looking to stay in the conference race to secure 2nd in the Ohio Valley West. Eastern Illinois is pushing as well, and both look even on paper. EIU beat Peay by 3 in the first meeting @ EIU. But in its past 5 conference games at home, AP has lost to conference leading Murray State, and Jacksonville St (early in the season, the game is misleading as to early miscues/turnovers in the first half of the game). I feel confident that AP is going to push the pace early, and EIU has barley been consistent as of late. In its latest 4 conference games away, EIU has covered only once. Given their last 10 games haven't seen a Winning streak more than 3, I just have in my heart that this team will be shaky. Dropping a game @ home to SE Missouri State, a team who barely has strung any type of quality win on their schedule, shows that they are going to be a bit rocky. It will probably be a game where runs will matter in the 2nd half, as AP usually grinds games out. But i'm pretty confident on the -6. Its already starting to go up so I suggest u take it now ha.

For Tuesday:
George Washington +2: GW getting the points here mainly due to Richmond being pretty dominant in A-10 play @ home. Expect a close game, but GW squeaking by at the end to earn a quality away Victory.

Detroit -2 @ UIC: Clearly the better team again but a home lean towards UIC keeps the spread close. I'm expecting a good 6 or 7 point lead at halftime, with the Titans pushing away. UIC needs this game, but going against a pretty decent team as of late, I feel Detroit takes it

St. John's -9: Any other team with more momentum than the Johnnies? Hard to tell. With such a quality win on Sunday against Gtown, St. John's gets another home game against Butler, who played well against Creighton in Hinkle. Clearly offensive rebounding and second-chance points are going to be big factor for the Red Storm, and with that comes confidence and motivation (not trying to sound corny). St. John's with the 9 points, expecting at least a 16ish point victory in MSG

Going to keep writing up my picks, as I feel it even further justifies them

Wednesday:

Rhode Island +3.5
URI is on a free fall in its past 5 games. A tough loss to Duquesne at home by giving up an early first half lead last game makes this even more of a must win game for the Rams, as they try to climb out of the bottom tier of the A-10. St. Joe's is given the points here merely on their record in my opinion. Winning 4 of their last 5 (loss to ranked SLU), they are on a heater in conference play. But two factors stand in their way: Previous matchups, and Gilvydas Biruta of URI. Last time out @St. Joe's, the hawks won by a 4 point margin (although they were ahead by 8 with a minute to go). A sharp 2nd half push caused by a handful of Rams turnovers and missed shots made St. Joe's jump to a large lead. Don't expect that in Kingston. Gilvydas has been the rams leading Rebounder for the Rams, and the 6-8 forward will make an impact with a 10+ pt/reboundgame. Expect it to be close, and I wouldn't doubt a straight win for the Rams.
Cincinnati -6.5
Pretty straight-forward here in my opinion. UCF still hasn't recorded a strong win in AAC conference play; although they kept it close with the tigers @Memphis, they struggle in consistently getting points in games. Long stretches of missed shots and turnovers are too frequent in the Knights offense. Watching them play vs. UConn @UCF was cringe-worthy at best. Cincy, even if it close for the majority of the game, will take over at the end with the combo of Kilpatrick and Jackson. Expect 15pt win here
Dayton -8
Dayton are a strong team, which their record doesn't indicate. Their early season success bumped them into top-25 contention for a couple weeks until a rocky road of conference losses dropped the Flyers out of the rankings. The one thing that has proved to be a factor is home-court. Dayton ATS while at home is pushing <75%. Going against a weak, depleted LaSalle team that has no heart whatsoever, the Flyers cruise. (13-14pt)
Creighton -3
Creighton has seen the true Big East Schedule is its inagural year in the Conference. Each game seems to be a coin flip in terms of Big EAST ATS. Strong win after Villanova builds confidence in the Blue Jays pushing for a strong seed in the NCAA. Based on sheer offensive 3-pt power, I think Creighton takes it in Wisconsin against Marquette. Just like @ Villanova, Creighton will use its attack to try and create some separation early against the Eagles. (8-9pt)
