L.Tech. has lost several games by a few points so their record is not an accurate representation of this team...The same thing can be said oppositely about NM St....They have several wins by a few points which makes their record look slightly better...Rebounding, Fg%, of both teams is similar and injuries are nil for both....
Seemingly NM st. is getting a 9 point home court advantage with two otherwise similarly evenly matched teams...The kicker for me is the play of outstanding guard Kyle Gibson who has come out of a miserable slump with 3 straight very sharp games including a win @ Nevada, a close loss to Utah State, and a bashing of Fresno...This kid is lights out with the 3 ball and a good slash type player as well.....Anyway I'm on it LTech +9...all day
Now to Siena who (along with Niagara) is easily at the top of the MAAC conference...This team is not much different than the one that made a nice showing at the NCAA's last year (knocking off Vandy, losing to Nova)...The most significant stats I see (and my capping always uses streaks as a huge factor) is 14-1 conference record, and a 15-2 SU record (1 loss was a cover and a close game against Kansas)...Now ATS hasn't looked so good but this is do to ridiculous double digit spreads...Also Siena easily has 4 guys that can regularly score in the double digits on a nightly basis. If Siena plays average they win and cover...if they play great they easily cover....The only way they lose to a far less talented Iona is if they fudge it up baaaaddd.... Anyway I like the ML best but also will be taking the spread at -4.5....
