Although Andy Rautins and Arinze Onuaku played against West Virginia, they are still sore from injuries that caused Rautins (sprained ankle) to miss the Providence game and Onuaku (tendinitis) to play limited minutes with limited movement.
They both practiced in the days leading up to the West Virginia game and should be even better for Villanova. Rautins, who looked agile against the Mountaineers, confessed to lingering swelling. Onuaku had some soreness but looked better.
The Syracuse players have talked about the reality of the Big East, where teams cannot afford to soar too high or sink too low after every outcome. That state of mind will be tested once again over the next three games playing villanova, uconn, and gtown.
Quote To Note: “My main concern is to get everyone healthy. We’re not deep enough or good enough to beat anybody in this league without two starters. I’m concerned about getting everyone healthy and then we’ll play fine.”—Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.
i had it capped at 4.5 so I am thinking the injuries may have some more emphasis with this game...i am leaning villanova
