    Will Clippers miss the playoffs?
Leave all the Blake Griffin and LOB city hype aside for a second.

Clippers have been a sub .500 team after Billups injury going 8-10 in that stretch. Their SOS has been pretty much average so far. Being only 4 games above the 11th seed in the West.

Chris Paul has a TOP-3 worst coach in the league and a ridiculously overrated supporting cast including Griffin. If they don't make a move, this might happen.

I'd be concerned if I was a Clipper fan.

Have to imagine they are doing everything possible to pick up a SG before the deadline.

Billups injury did it for them. Del Negro is absolute garbage. Shit at the Bulls and just as bad here.

U mean the same Clips that the 'experts' said could win the West?!? lol. I could definitely see them missing the playoffs. I see Minny, Utah, Portland, and maybe even Phx making playoff pushes while they will continue to fall in the rankings. Only 1 game up on Minny but Minny has 3-0 record against them this year.

Well, their main problem is the only scorer in their bench is very streaky. Kinda like JR Smith. If he has an off night, 90% of NBA second units can beat theirs.

They also have a fat PG whose best move is flopping and an overpaid center who is the most offensively challenged player I've ever seen.

They don't need points from Jordan. He does a good job but seems fixated in making a big play every time on D and gets himself in way too much foul trouble.

Butler has been nothing short of dreadful during this slump. He started the season hot, they need him to start playing again.

Yea Butler is another player that they paid too much for. I think they do need some point production from Jordan bc the team has no bench outside of Mo and you just brought up how Butler is almost worthless. Way too much pressure on Paul and Griffin to carry the team which won't work against good teams

Stupid? They are 1 loss away from being on the outside looking in and are 8-10 in their last 18. It's def far from stupid to question this. Unless you're not worried about a team who loses to the Nets, GS twice, Minny twice, and the Celtics at home when they are on a 8 game road trip in a 2 week timespan....

This team stopped playing hard an started believing everything they hear about themselves on ESPN. They strut around like they already won a title and would rather dunk in a guys face then win the game . A bunch of punk millionairs .

Maybe missing the playoffs is a stretch but is anyone confident they will make any noise whatsoever come playoffs?

Think they could give the Spurs and Mavs problems. Neither team has a guy who can defend Griffin but outside of a favorable 1st round matchup they won't make much noise

I'll take this for the max but you obviously won't ever be able to pay me.

Clippers offense isn't good enough to beat any good defensive teams and their defense isn't good enough to stop any offensively good team.

Please tell me how they aren't a first round exit as of now if they do make it.

I personally don't believe Clippers will make 'noise' in the playoffs. I think whoever they end up facing in the 2nd round (I'm sure they can beat the few of the bottom 8 west teams in a 7 series on 1st round) will pose a significant threat. I was doubtful about this team even with Billups, but now I don't see them having enough fire power in a 7 game series to beat any of the top 4-5 West teams really.

But it's hard to say anything at this point. I'm sure there were less than a handful of people in March 2011 who believe Mavericks would make it far or even make any noise in the playoffs - but things changed suddenly and drastically that year and there's no reason it can't happen this year with this, or perhaps another team.

I was actually the only one on this forum who called the Mavs last year. In February actually. They had been shooting lights out all year, playing good matchup defense against most teams AND winning on the road. That's sure as hell a good combination for a deep playoff run.

If the Clipps don't make a move IMO they are a sure first round exit because there's no way in hell they finish in the top 3.
