Williams, you always make these threads about the Cavs and you always jump into threads about the Cavs, but this one is utterly ridiculous. If he stays, he can change his #. He's making sure he isn't pigeon-holed. I think he'll stay also, but to say one leads to another is ridiculous

      Fade,
There was quite a bit of sarcasm in my post. Obviously this doesn't mean anything for sure, but you gotta be an optimist.

Who really knows...Cleveland is doing what they can to keep him and put talent around him. I wouldn't be surprised either way if he stayed or went there is so much speculation out there

lebron actually has a chance to win a few championships in Ohio. Why would he leave? The entire cavs team was built around Lebron, Shaq is only there to guard Dwight Howard in the playoffs... etc (that failed)

Not really sure what LeBron will do. I think a lot has to do with how the season ends. However, him changing his number I think was simply because he hasn't made a descision yet and wants to keep his options open. I think the favorite is Cleveland but I don't think it is 90% as you said. More like 50% in my opinion.

Shaq has actually done an incredible job against Dwight this year. Shaq just had surgery today and will be healthy by the time they face Orlando in the playoffs.

As its been mentioned a few times already, The Cavs can offer more money to LBJ than anyone else due to the salary cap rules. Also, something that has not been talked about much is the potential of the salary cap dropping 10 to 12% next year due to the overwhelming losses the NBA is reporting this year. In the collective bargaining agreement or whatever its called in the NBA, every year they sit down and adjust the salary cap based on the amount of money the league has made/lost in the past season. So the teams that have set up dumping all these contracts to have the cap space may very well have less than they anticipated to go after LBJ or any of the other free agents.

Two, Lebron wants to be a billionaire yes, but he has a lot more time to make that happen then he does to hoist a number of NBA championship trophies. Cleveland has proved that they are an elite team and as long as James stays there they will be for a long time. And the Cavs organization has proven over and over that they are willing to do whatever it takes to put the team over the top. You may or may not agree with or like some of the moves theyve made, but you have to give Ferry credit for trying. Thats guaranteed. Plus you have the factor that he's pretty much a home town guy here, and his family and life is already built and set up here.

All in all, anything can happen. My belief is that LBJ will stay right where he is. If a team can pull a "Boston", and ensure another superstar or two coming to a new team with him then it may be interesting, but again, he's already somewhere that now has a winning tradition and will make the moves to make the team better.

why would cleveland fans run LBJ out of town? Cleveland as a city hasnt won a championship in any sport in what, over 60 years? even if lebron stays for five years, never wins it all but gets close, theyll still love him

I am 95% sure he'll stay with the cavs, the other 5% I'm not sure, but I'm rooting for Miami as the outside (near impossible) darkhorse, imagine DWADE + LBJ. Just imagine.

highly doubt he will stay in Cleveland when the cavs fail to win the championship this year.. he has to have a better team.. It's only common sense that if he wants a championship after this year it's not coming from Cleveland..

He's always been an incredibly loyal guy. Hell, he went to a primarily white high school because his friend said he was going and Lebron wanted to stay with him. He recently built a HUGE home just outside of Cleveland as well.
