Hey guys, I'm new to this forum but I've been capping games for years now and have been successful, but like everyone else, I've experienced many ups and downs. I do believe that my main issue was always playing too many games, so now I focus on one matchup per day and I analyze it in depth. I normally pick the game I am most interested in or the game where I see an edge but where the line isn't too juicy. Off the record, I've gone 15-4-1 since focusing on a game per major sport per day. Felt good enough about it to share my plays with you guys. Feel free to leave any insights or comments! Best of luck if you tail or fade! All plays are 1u unless stated otherwise. Best of luck everyone!

Phoenix Suns vs. Cleveland Cavaliers // Jan 19
Need to know
Tonight’s tilt combines the two odds of the NBA spectrum. The Cleveland Cavaliers (29-11) host the Phoenix Suns (13-28) and while the Cavs are first in the Eastern Conference, the Suns are round-out the pack in the West.
Sharpen the swords
People see the Cavs as this unstoppable beast. The immovable glacier of the Eastern Conference, right? Wrong! At least not lately. In their last 10 games they are only 6-4 and the other top teams in the East (Toronto, Boston, Atlanta) are gaining ground. That is why the Phoenix Suns (5-16 on the road) are the perfect combatant tonight.
The Cavs are finally back home after a rough road trip (by Cavs’ standards) that saw them go 3-3. But back at home, the Cavs are 18-3 this season and 4-1 in their first game back after a loss on the road. The Cavs are 17-3 as favourites at home and 5-3 against the spread when the spread is over 10 at home. All-time they are 6-4 ATS at home vs. the Suns
The Rise of the Phoenix
In a bizarre coincidence, the Suns have battled the top-ranked Cavs tooth-and-nail in their recent history. When they hosted the Cavs a week ago, they clawed back after being down by 22 points and ultimately lost just at the end by four points. The Suns offence has not been a problem lately; they have recorded over 100 points in five straight games.
The Suns are 7-6 against the Cavs since 2010 and are 4-2 on the road in that span. Luckily for the Suns, it seems that the Cavs will be without Kevin Love as he sat out the second half of the Cavs’ games against the Warriors and hasn’t participated in contact drill this week.
The Final Breakdown
The Suns are walking into a buzzsaw. The Cavs know they got spanked and need to prove they should still be feared.
