I think I may have been totally wrong saying the Pacers had no chance to win this series.

This has a lot different feel than the Warriors/Spurs series had.

Golden State won a few games because they went nuts shooting the ball. The Pacers don't have to do that to win and they present match up problems...

Since Miami didn't cover, I'm glad they lost straight up. Go Pacers.

Just my luck to tail you the day AFTER you win a big play. I knew that was the kiss of death. I was on the under until I saw this & changed my mind. Memphis never had a chance. I guess the 20 unit play threw me off. I thought u were super confident, I'm sure u were, and that swayed me. Memphis was completely outplayed & outclassed in almost every category I think. They were SO bad last night. That was a hard game to watch. Extremely. Memphis looked confused & scared to even shoot the ball. At times, I felt embarrassed for Memphis. They looked hopeless.

Maybe I get on the next one with ya. Best of luck on the future plays. I'm just glad that awful excuse of a team is out of the playoffs. U gotta admit, they were terrible in the Conference Finals. Couldn't win a game to save their lives. They arguably could have lost 6 or 7 in a row to SA in my opinion.

for those sitting on the "do i or don't i" moneyline fence, here's an idea...

you can get a "kindler gentler moneyline" (ie. money back if they cover but don't win) at +109.52

just size ur bets so that wins on the +3 bet "finances" your ml bet...eg.

pacers +3 at -110: -52.38/+47.62
pacers ml at +130: -47.62/+61.90

so the three possibilites are -100/ 0 / +109.52

Going with the Pacers again tonight. Seems like just about everyone has written them off after Game 3. I still believe Indy is the better team here but as I've said all along the difference is Lebron. George did a great job on him in Game 1 but Lebron was able to go down to the post in Game 3 and it opened up a lot for the rest of team and as a result the role players stepped up. I clamored for years for James to go down on the block and post guys up and use his great passing ability when the double team came and he finally started doing it last year. No surprise they won the title and no surprise they played so well in Game 3 but Indy still holds a size advantage and I expect a big effort from the bigs tonight. It would do Indiana some good to try fronting Lebron with Hibbert behind him but we will have to see the gameplan they have drawn up. Pacers should play well tonight it's just a matter of whether they can finish the job in the fourth quarter which is why I took the points and not the ML.

Indy will have a great chance if they can continue to play through Hibbert but something tells me the Heat will figure out a way to defend the post game. Miami will be at 100% intensity on both ends of the floor - you can count on that. It's time for Wade to wake up.

congrats to all those ballsy enough to "keep their heads" and put their money where the value clearly was...on the home dog...and smart enough to know that Miami's "comic-book super hero" player is not really that--he's just a very good (well, let's say...very very good) NBA player...one of several still alive in the playoffs who put their shorts on one leg at a time

it seems a key (if not THE key) factor in every NBA playoff game is the officiating...particularly down that last 3 minutes of play (that takes more than 30 minutes of real-life time)...don't know if analysis of NBA-as-sports-entertainment (a la "WWE story-arc" analysis) plays into this...

really seems that IF the "what Stern wants" conspiracty (ie. story arc) theories were true...they could be implemented WITHOUT the knowledge or cooperation of the players...as long as the officiating team were "onboard" (aka. back pockets stuffed)...seems they could groove just about any result they wanted...

i'm not agreein' with this perspective...just sayin' it wouldn't be that hard to implement...and need only be applied at a few key points of a few key games...to get the result "that's good for the NBA"...

i'd appreciate comments on this from u real BBall weenies about this
