those of you who are true knick fans it was a great season compared to the previous disaster seasons for the past lets say 10 yrs, big improvement yes , but in new york teams are measured by championships not division championships. those who live in new york would fully understand that. also big problems with roster in next 3 yrs are coming cause this roster is one of the oldest in the nba so if u wanna take a run at glory this yr and maybe next is all what separates you from the dark days all over again. you cant be the man until u beat da man and we all know who the man is sir james so good luck being the dateless girl sitting at her prom all by herself

Big Knicks fan here...

1) Amare and Carmelo will never be able to work well together. Ride the roster you have ride now, its better to go into the playoffs on a run with the unit you got currently.

2) JR Smith (not kidding) will be the X-factor whether or not we make a deep run into the playoffs. If he's jacking up shots left and right and he's in one of his modes where he's taking 30 shots a game off the bench, then goodbye Knicks. Melo can't do it all himself, but at the same time JR needs to take his shots in the flow of the offense.

3) Defense and crashing the boards. When Melo gets a lot of offensive rebounds and there all crashing the boards, this team can be dangerous. Look at how the Bulls beat the Heat to end there streak. Offensive rebounding and getting physical. The Knicks are a 3 point shooting team and can probably win a game against the Heat by getting hot behind the 3 point line, but if the Knicks are going to win a championship they need to get back to that gritty (ala Charles Oakley, Anthony Mason, etc. etc. days) defense first kind of mentality.

i agree but someone that lives 3000 miles away doesnt , he thinks cause they finished better than the nets he has made it a great season , very wrong if u dont win a nba championship nobody cares where u finished or who u finished ahead of. some people lost sight of reality when the boarded a plane a lilttle less than a year ago. at least there are some realistic knick fans out there that see my point enjoy brother

As a Knicks fan, any year Isiah Thomas isn't mentioned for inputting his ideas to Dolan makes for a great year.

Figured we'd be injured as always (especially with the aging roster moves past season) but you gotta love the depth. Always someone ready to pick up the slack and keep us capable of winning games. And maybe I'm just used to Knicks (and my Mets) not getting far come postseason, so even if they don't make it deep in the playoffs I'm still happy.
