a resounding 'OUCH!'.
Yesterday's loss to the Clippers was brutal.
Not being able to muster a SINGLE win against their hometown rival, (0-4)
shuttered their aspirations*and the reality of their mediocrity has now set in.
Without this last shred of hope, they will not be able rise to the occasion
that will be necessary to overcome teams with winning records down the final stretch.*What would be the point? Their minds know it, their bodies will find out.
The very opposite is true for Utah..*a mere 10 games ago, they were playing poorly, but they have*won 7-of-last 8**and now sit in the driver's seat, and the victory over Golden State likely will create greater confidence and ability to close games against their remaining competition.
Three of five should not be too difficult considering the games remaining on*
their schedule. Though you never know with Minnesota, teams that are missing the playoffs frequently*like to play spoiler, and play 8 seeds harder than usual.*
Not even David Stern can help the Lakers now.
(Looks like the last game Playoff game of Kobe's career was Game 5, OKC)
2012-'13 Western Conference Playoffs
Series 1 – Utah @ San Antonio*
Series 2– *Houston @ Oklahoma City*
Series 3– *Golden State @ Denver*
Series 4– *Memphis @ Clippers*
