#8They're awful right now but that doesn't mean they will stay this way. If you look at the roster right now, who was on the team last year? Kobe, Metta, Ebanks, Morris and I think that may be it. It'll take time but you're right, they're awful right now. It took Miami a long time to mesh too so it's tough to expect them to run through their schedule with a .600+ record without their starting pg and an almost brand new roster. It is what it is.Comment -

#11Yeah but how about Boston? All I'm saying is that I don't think 20 games into a season is a big enough sample to judge this. 2 different coaches, 2 injuries within the top 4 players, and bringing in a new PG and C. On top of that, most of the bench is new. I wasn't one to think that they would easily get to the finals this year but you can't deny that it's still possible. There are 8 spots in the playoffs and all they have to do is make it and they have a chance. It's like saying that because Memphis has the best record, they're going to win the chip. It's too early to make any judgments other than that they are AWFUL right now.Comment -

1) D'Antoni doesn't put a premium on defense, which wins championships, and
2) Nash and Kobe are going to have to figure out how to share the ball, and both are used to dominating it, which means I'm not sure how that's going to work. Nash is a ghost out there if he doesn't have the ball in his hands and I highly doubt Kobe's going to give up the rock.Comment -

#13I love how everyone crowned the Lakers Western Conference champs over the summer when OKC has three superstars under the age of 25 and they haven't even hit their prime yet. There is also the Spurs who I think will actually win the West and a tough Memphis team.
OKC is still getting better and Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka have a great supporting cast. It's not like OKC has two stars and that's it. They're a complete team and can also bring solid players off the bench. I'm interested to see what the team does with their draft picks and players like Perry Jones and Jeremy Lamb. They could actually make a decent trade offer to someone for another player if they need to.
OK, now everyone call me a homer.Comment -

#17OKC has drilled the Lakers almost everytime they have come to OKC the past two years. Last year they had a 29 point lead at one point in the game clincher. Heck, even three years ago when OKC made their first playoff appearance and the Lakers won the title they owned them in OKC.
"You might as well go ahead and crown the Lakers Western Conference Champions". LOL.Comment -

#19I'm seriously starting to wonder if D'Antoni lasts the season.
Of course he will, only because the younger Buss who picked him over Phil Jackson will go down with the ship.
This is an abortion.Comment -

#26Doesn't really matter who is coaching when you just don't have the personnel to guard a good perimeter-shooting club. Artest and Kobe can handle the man to man in the half court, but can't keep up with quick rotation around the perimeter. As such, the Warriors are killing them from a distance.Comment -

#28In the final 40 seconds when LA needed to get a stop they gave up an alley oop dunk, a wide open shot at the elbow to Lee, and a wide open jumper from Jack.
When you leave NBA players wide open, they're going to make shots.Comment -

#29If you just watch Howard`s facial/body language when GS scores he immediately looks for someone to blame.
He might be the ultimate frontrunner and possibly the most over-rated big of all-time.
Dude has no heart and I wouldn`t want him near my team.Nuff said.
And yes, I did lose a 3 teamer on the under tonight....at least the OT didn`t cost me the bet.Comment -
