#423Some cappers are extremely knowledgeable re: the game itself and the matchups that they have to offer. Others can read a game blindly and know which side is going to cover without knowing a single player on either team. The idea is to get the best of both worlds. If you choose to ignore one or the other, it's nearly impossible to win long-term. Keep that in mind when you're sifting through this thread four months from now.Comment -

This play is a little riskier. a small half unit play. The Hawks are an up and down team at home and Scott prides himself on preaching defense. Cavs should look to play more efficiently on the offensive end which will allow them to set their defense and prevent fast break opportunities for the Hawks. This team is pretty overrated. Even with teague now, they still play far too slow for my liking and expect them to throw the ball down low a ton tonight and get in their sets pretty late and inevitably use the majority of the shot clock. ATL has some shooters though so I wouldn't be surprised if they score over 100 tonight but the Cavs have some pretty strong-handed guys on the perimeter in Gee, Pargo, and Waiters who aren't that great on the offensive end but hustle on the other end. The Brazilian beast should keep Horford and Josh off the offensive glass for the most part.

#432The Bobcats are a team that's going to lose to teams with bigger more athletic PGs and SFs. There is absolutely no way you can ask Kemba Walker to guard Jrue Holliday and him finding offense on the other end is gonna be tough. Gilchrest is a good young player but Evan Turner is much stronger than him, a better defender, shooter, and rebounder. I can't see Bobcats winning too many games if these two don't get going. Not sure if Taylor is a perm fix in the starting lineup but I expect Richardson to get some open looks from 3. Thad Young will take Mullans off the dribble at any moment and I don't expect Mullans to score much on him. His length will definitely cause some problems for this smaller Bobcats team.
Bobcats have a pretty solid bench with Sessions and Gordan as two guys who can provide instant offense, but with Nick Young and Dorrell Wright coming off the bench expect one of these guys to guard Gordan. Again I want to see more time for Hawes in this game. Bobcats only have 1 center in Haywood and he is horrible, will probably be in foul trouble right off the bat.
If you're a smart coach, you'll play a lineup that allows Sessions to perhaps guard Holliday as he is a much bigger defender than Walker.
The Sixers are just a very LONG team at nearly every position and the Cats are undersized and far less athletic. I expect the Bobcats to struggle defending teams like the Sixers and the Thunder for example last week.

#434JR007. JR read the philly post. Learn and take notes. Who else would think like a coach like me and think to let Sessions guard Holliday. After Holliday abused Kemba in the first half blowing by him on every play, coach had no choice but to make that adjustment. Learn and take notes.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#443PLAY 46: KINGS -.5 2ND HALF -110 VS. PACERS (+2.5 FOR THE GAME)
RISK $110 TO WIN $100
Not watching this game because the Lakers game is on... Kings missing Evans but I'm expecting Cousins to put this team on his back and carry them to a victory. The Pacers offense has been terrible this year without a true go to guy. Salmons should continue to defend George well and the Sac bench is playing good. Bench production very important in these types of games.

PLAY 49: Blazers +100 ML Risk $50
I'm out for the night. I got sidetracked so no in-depth analysis on these games today.
Look for solid game from the starting 5 for Portland. Hickson will play well in his return to Cleveland. Look for Lillard to have a big game here as there's no way Pargo can defend him on the 3 point line. He is a pretty good defender off the dribble but doubt he's intelligent enough at this point to study the film on LIlard and see he has a quick release. Aldrich and Hickson should both pull the Brazilian beast away from the rim and give some lanes to Mathews and Batum. THese are the types of games the starters have to win. Cavs are a pretty bad team imo without Irving and you can't depend on Varajeu to be the best player on a basketball team.
Both of these bets are risky but I don't see why Dallas is favored by so much here. Yeah the stones are playing on a B2B and have played a lot the last week and Dallas is rested but they don't have lineups set. Plus Knight didn't play much last night and the stones turned the ball over a ton against one of the best teams in the West. I don't have time to explain the matchups here but if the stones can guard the perimeter well tonight (which is sometimes a weakness of theirs), I don't see why they can't cover this number.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment
