NRL Season 2012 110-1-92 +39.02
Round 26 1-1
Play #3
Titans vs Sea Eagles UNDER 41.5 2x 1.95
The setup for this game looks like a grind. Titans are missing many key attacking players who have been replaced by solid defenders - missing is Srama, Harrison and Nate Myles is in doubt. Expect to see a strong Sea Eagles defensive line to frustrate the Titans and slowly grind them down on the fringes. Titans will be looking for a commendable display after being embarrassed last week by the Panthers. Their defensive numbers are solid and generally they do well against teams that are happy to fight out a win - this should be Manly, who are aiming up for a good performance leading into the finals.. a win is a win and they'll be happy with that.
Last time they met the total was 40pts but with so many injuries for the Titans and a strong breeze blowing tonight we should see Manly get the majority of the points.
Have this game at 36pts on the model and rolling with the UNDER for 2x. GL
Play #4
Bulldogs vs Roosters UNDER 46.5 1x 1.95
We're getting a huge total for this game - the biggest total in the last round of NRL for a very long time. This game opened at 42.5 points and has been climbing ever since. Based on the avg stats this game looks like a try fest but can't see it happening this week, especially after last week's belting of the Bulldogs in Canberra. They'll be looking to get back on track today and sure up some pretty stodgy attack down the left and right sides. Both teams have huge motivation; Bulldogs want a win before finals and Roosters will be fired up for Anasta's last game.
It'll either be a complete try fest or a game where the Bulldogs show why they're the no.1 side in the comp - I'm backing the later. Based on the model even if this does turn out to be a try fest we get 42points and still cash the UNDER. Rolling on this game 1x UNDER 46.5 at 1.95. GL
Play #5
Tigers vs Storm UNDER 42.5 1x 1.95
Storm away from home record is significantly different to their at home stats and largely in favour of an UNDER play. These two teams have a history of low scoring games and only managed 16pts last time they met. While the Roosters frustrated the Tigers with unpredictable play and chancing their arm, don't expect the Storm to do the same. Their highly structured attack suits the Tigers who should perform exceedingly better against Craig Bellamy's side. Storm last year rested several key players before their final game of the regular season and it could happen again tonight.
Either way expect the Leichhardt Oval crowd to work in the Tigers favour and for the Storm to pull away with a total around 38pts. Rolling the UNDER 42.5 for 1x 1.95. This would be a no play at 42pts - so ensure you get the 0.5.
