Are West Coast a contender? At 1-3 they are looking like massive pretenders, a side that I had to do very well this year. They've simply been ordinary, tonight 7 goals 23 behinds. Can't win games when you kick for goal like that, was a frustrating bet to be on.

Both sides are in form, but Collingwood should win the battle in the middle, and should be able to prevail here. Collingwood have won their past 7 against the bombers, and will be looking to make it 8.

I think these second 2 lines are sharp. As above I like the pies play. Fremantle and Richmond should fight out a close game, but Fremantle at home are hard to ignore, while both the Gold Coast and GWS will be competitive. GWS threw away a chance against the dees last week, so don't expect them to fall away here, but the Gold Coast are the better side.Comment -

I just saw another interesting promotion from Betfair. Each week in both AFL and NRL they choose 2 teams head to head, that in a double would be at about $2.50 odds, and offer $5 odds up to a $20 bet.
This week they have both Fremantle and Carlton (and manly/Broncos), who will both go around at about $1.50. It is interesting just how willing they are to lay both teams, will be something worth watching over.Comment -

Amazing hit, complete opposite of the earlier game. The games this year are just insane. The crows were huge in the second half, ending up with 3 injuries, and still getting within reach of a win mid-way through the last quarter, before the blues got some late goals as the crows players completely ran out of steam.

Crazy number here. The total points in the first 4 rounds in Hawks games is 213.5, and the roos 205. The hawks have 2 higher scoring games, both of which came about against sides that have leaked big scores (Collingwood and West Coast, 3rd and 4th largest scores against so far). The roos games have been more spread, but their attack has not broken through with a huge score against any side (except the struggling lions). I see a solid 2 unit play here.

The under hit by 2 goals, the numbers being offered were just far too insane. Some late fight from Melbourne helped the value play to cash too. After a tough 0-3 (-3.5 units) start to the round, it ended up being a very nice round, bringing us back into positive territory
