    depends ...

What you bet .. win/place/show ? Pick 3/4/6's, Exactas/tri/supers? Do you already have PP's or do you want a site that throws them in free if you make a bet? Where are you located? Do you bet several thousand a week or just $2 per play ? Are you interested in Cash back bonus, or better odds? Do you want to bet to win or to lay ? What tracks do you want ? Just US, or some international too ? Do you want a place that gives you video of the races, do you need replays?

Bodog has good feed and good limits. You can bet up to the gate opening and they pay full track odds. Also, they have a rebate on wins/losses

bodog is user friendly and has good rebates. but does it really matter. you will end up winning and not withdrawing and losing it back more than likely.

Bodog is easy to use, and rebates are solid win or lose.

I use twinspires and betamerica...Twinspires has all the tracks and you can get free pps if you make a bet on the track that you download...BetAmerica pays 3% cash back on certain tracks. The tournaments are great fun also..Both offer free transfers whether depositing of withdrawing..Just connect your checking account up to the sites and your good to go.

I watch the race through twinspires tv. It's just so easy to go from race to race..I love the profit line numbers and the little symbols they have for key races, clocker workouts, TJ combo, etc...I bet mostly through betamerica. They don't have NYRA racing..I can live without Aqueduct..I recently got another monitor..So now I have 4 monitors. One for twinspires, one for betamerica and my pps and insider sheets from Brisnet. The 3rd monitor is for my multicaps software. The 4th monitor is for breedingwinners race reports which are free...

5Dimes under most circumstances. 10% win bonus on ALL tracks. even minor harness tracks.

Twinspires is terrific, except on big race days the video can get choppy with so many people on the site. They've also had some crashes on big race days, so always have a backup.

The other down side to Twinspires is the rebates are terrible. You gotta play a ton of money just to get a $10 rebate.

It also depends on what tracks you play. Bodog is willing to give a bigger shot at the minor tracks than 5Dimes, but overall, 10% bonus on ALL win bets AND 10% bonus on exotics at the major tracks (about 25 or so) makes it the best overall IMHO. BTW, Bodog does make you roll the bonus once before withdraws, and if you have a withdraw in process, the rebate will immediately cancel the withdraw, and force you to start the clock over again.

If you take full advantage of the bonus offers, you can increase the rebate a bit.

I keep hearing about these huge rebates ..
I see a 5% maximum rebate for win bets @ 5 Dimes ... am I looking in the wrong place ?
    http://www.5dimes.com/rrb_main.html

Never did get a reply in that other thread when someone claimed 14% rebates either ...

edit : sorry - just saw the other rebate they offer ...

"Receive track odds PLUS 10% at the 5Dimes Plus 10% Racebook! Bet at all the top tracks & get an additional 10% to any winning, WIN or Exotic ticket at MAJOR tracks, and you can also receive an extra 10% to any winning WIN ticket in this 5Dimes Racebook at ANY track."

    http://www.5dimes.com/rb_main.html

    That's not a bad offer .. i'm already funded there too .. interesting ..

bodog has something else going for it.according to my friend who has a bodog account,(i don't have one yet myself, but will shortly) you bet $.10 superfectas on races that do not offer $.10 superfectas on that race.like an inhouse superfecta prop,i'm guessing.

if you can stomach brisnet pp's use twinspires. i cannot stand using them so i buy drf pp's(worth it). their rebate program is worthless if thats what you are looking for. don't dismiss bodog's race book. rebates outstanding and dime super play on tracks that don't offer them a plus.

The ultimate pps probably have to much information for beginners..What don't you like about them? I personally use the quick play pps from brisnet. I get some of the information not on those from my multicaps software. Like the race and class ratings. The spi numbers and AWD are helpful on the ultimate pps for mdn races. I think everyone has to experiment with different pps , software ( if any ) and any other added information to see what works best for them..

If you're used to DRF, it might be tougher to use the brisnet PPs. But for free, I made the adjustment.

    This.

There are various incentives at various websites, but definitely make sure to play at places that do rebates if you put quite a bit of money through your account.

5dimes if u are looking to reduce the cost of pick4,5,6;; they offer .25 cent on everything;; lets face it ;; if u play a $2 pick 6 it gets up to 300 dollars very quick; try the .25 or .50 pick6 and its affordable; its a must cause we all no they rarely hit;; gl

For you serious handicappers..Here's a site that is free and has plenty of information...Breedingwinners.com
There are race reports for 5 or 6 tracks. Sire, broodmare sire and trainer reports. There are also top sire lists..It's a great site to learn pedigree.

I absolutely love Brisnet's Ultimates..When I pick up a DRF these days, I feel like I'm stuck in the 80's with antiquated info. No pace figs, class ratings, and inadequate trainer/jockey stats. The summary page on the Bris PP's are worth it alone to see how the race shapes up along with any potential bias info.

Just noticed the new "Twinspires Express" with "Bris Superstats" http://www.twinspires.com/content/superstats seems quite nice to navigate. Feels like the old "Youbet" Site

Thanks for the info. I assume that Twinspires does not have the same "legal" issues for U.S. players like the offshore entities.

I just received an email from "thetotalbettingclub.com" saying that they have a horse racing system ever has recently hit winners at odds of 1000.

My understanding is that it is a backing system using level stakes betting and using Betfair SP. As far as I know, handicap market is one of the pool that you can be able to make a bigger odds. So you may want to check it out for your horse racing endeavor

Yes, Twinspires has residency restrictions. You must live in a state that has legal parimutual betting. There are a bunch of states they won't take bets from.

These are the states they accept.

Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Thanks Seattle Slew. I just opened an account with Twinspires. I just emailed them to try to figure out why I get a server error message when I try to download the Brisnet PPs.
