SBRforum Looking for high caliber handicappers and writers
Hi Guys!
SBRforum is looking to add top-flight sports writers and handicappers who enjoy writing to the team! Qualities we are looking for include:
Ability to not only gather data that is not regularly available to general public but to interpret what it means and apply an educated opinion. example: the Suns average 110 at home and Pistons average 80 away since the all star break suggesting a total line of 95. However which team has dictated the pace of the game of late? Which team average has influenced the spread more? What is behind the number?
Sports guys/girls who enjoy writing and handicapping and illustrating their opinions and breaking down events vs. printing only information gathered on sports sites.
Handicappers that enjoy math. Did you see the line move to 3.5 on NFL football and believe that it's hugely valuale to two teams that often play conservative and consistently low scoring game. Tell us the %s and why finding a book that moved to 3.5 on this matchup has value.
Humor and entertainment. During a hardcore two hour long capping session, it's nice to come across a piece that can make you chuckle. The delivery of the information counts!
If any of these sound like you contact picks@sbrforum.com (with "sports analyst" in the subject) to see if your'e a candiate to join our writing staff. No harm in trying! You don't have to be able to pick winners at 60%...just be able to enjoy research, writing and doing the leg work to give the assist to handicappers putting their money on the line.
The SBRforum writer is a paid position with room to advance to feature writer and beyond.
