    Betting Underdogs
    Hey Everyone,

There's the unconfirmed truth that if you bet dogs blindly throughout the NHL season you'll come away with a profit. Has anybody ever tried this?

I'm going to mine the data from last season, does anyone know a good site where I can get info on opening and closing odds? When I'm finished, I'll share my results with the forum.

    Cheers

But blindly? i don't think so. You still have to do your homework and pick the right dogs to win the game.

your right blindly I would say no, if you add certain filters it can make a huge difference.
However imo doing "homework" betting NHL games is in vein, too many times ive seen whenever there is a sure thing it goes the other way.

When i can keep at it I find betting two separate underdogs a night can keep you on a good roll. More often than not I would find both underdogs winning when I was just hoping for one to win.

On the nights I didn't like any dogs, I would parlay two favs for a better than even money bet.

More often than naught I would get lured into playing a big ML fav, and losing two weeks of gains. I look to do better this year, and remember to keep underdogs in play.

If you use both sites, which one, in your opinion, has the better hockey cappers?

wasnt linking it for the forums but for the scores and lines database they have, which is what the OP wanted.
But imo neither really stands out, id say the covers hockey forum is more active that this though. cappersmall has some good hockey guys as well. But imo your best bet is to do some research and figure out a system for yourself and work with that, just avoid the juice.

the hockey forum here isn't as active as the football or baseball forum. I only see a few guys with threads for their picks. An excellent capper here is TA. He is up over 300 units in baseball and hockey i am sure he will do even better.

TA is definitely a solid capper but he plays far too many huge juice favourites in the NHL and it caught up with him last season.
