This is the official thread for SBR Fantasy Football League II for 2021

The live draft will be hosted by Yahoo and last 16 rounds.

SBR Fantasy Football League II Draft: Wednesday, September 1st at 9:00 ET

The Rules
Each league will be a 12-team league with a buy-in of 3000 Betpoints, with SBR adding 2600 points to the pot to bring each league pool to 38,600 Betpoints! (The extra 600 points added covers the extra 14th week high score bonus this season). Once the first 22 SBR members send 3000 points via the “Give Points” button below, they will receive the Yahoo Invite link to their specific league via PM. Please remember to make your SBR handle obvious when you name your team at Yahoo so that we know who everybody is. The drafting order will be randomized as soon as the team list for a particular league is finalized and the draft will be the standard snake format. You will have 90 seconds for each draft pick. Also note that each league has unlimited transactions, but the trading deadline is November 20th, 2021.

These are straight 12-team leagues with NO DIVISIONS. The top six seeds based on overall standings will make the playoffs with the top two seeds getting first round byes, thus being assured of being in the semifinals and winning points. In Week 15, the 3-seed will face the 6-seed and the 4-seed will face the 5-seed. In Week 16, the 1-seed will face the lowest remaining seed and the 2-seed will face the other Week 15 winner. The SBR Super Bowl will be in Week 17 and NFL Week 18 will be ignored.

The League Champions get 18,120 Betpoints, the Championship Game losers gets 6,040 Betpoints and the semifinal losers each get 3,020 Betpoints. Additionally, the high scorers for each week of the regular season will get 600 Betpoints (with ties split evenly).

This is a PPR league that gives 1 point per reception and kick return touchdown points are awarded to BOTH the defense/special team and the player. Also, there is both fractional scoring and negative scoring.

There are no limitations on what positions you draft, just make sure that you make the appropriate moves each week to field a valid starting lineup. Also, our waiver method is Continual Rolling.

Playoff/Seeding Tiebreakers:
If two or more teams finish tied in the standings, the following tiebreakers will be used to determine the official order of seedings:

1. Total fantasy points (season total).
2. Fantasy points scored in last week's matchup.
3 Fantasy points scored in the matchup two weeks prior.
4. The comparison continues until the tie is broken or no more weeks remain to compare. At that time, a coin flip will settle the tie.

Please note:
Teams must have identical winning percentages to be considered tied in the standings.
A team with an 8-4-1 (.654) record will be seeded ahead of a team with an 8-5 (.615) record. A team with an 8-6 (.571) record WILL be tied with a team with a 6-4-4 (.571) record.


The 11th and 12th place League I finishers this season will not be League I eligible next season. Also, the 1st and 2nd place finishers in League II standings this season (regular season standings only regardless of playoff results) will be added to the League I eligible list next season. Exceptions: if I finish 11th or 12th in League I or if League 1 members finish 1st and/or 2nd in League II, it would reduce the number of members that get promoted/delegated.

I think I'd rather have 12th then what I wound up with smack dab in the middle with the 6th pick. At least with the 12th pick you get 2 in a row and can build a solid core if you really do your homework.

Carolina has arguably the worst O line in the league, cmc is a great talent and consensus #1 but the separation at the top isn't as clear this year, especially in a snake draft bottom half means absolutely nothing. In fact it's probably the better route

I've been around or on the 5 spot in several of my money leagues for 3 years. Don't ask me why. 9 is an interesting spot and I've mocked a few times and been very happy with the results, though it's a mind penetrate weighting and balancing positional need and when to strike.

Only time will tell.
