Tough way to go out after winning 98 games, certainly makes a good case for a best of 3 wild card or some other kind of modification to the playoff schedule. Pirates had a helluva year, if they can get another top end starter they will be uber-tough next season.

Price is turning into quite a playoff choker isn't he, but Stroman put in a good showing today BJ's up 4-3 top8th.

Looks like that was the last home game in Toronto for this 2015 season. Absolutely gutted.

Lackey Seems to own. Lester. I recall a pitchers duel earlier in the year. Lester was pitching a no hitter and Lackey outlasted him. Poor Cubs

Excellent point. But I still hate it.

Probably because the Reds have lost so many in the past.

Yep. On July 6th. Lester lost the no-no in the 7th inning and eventually the game 6-0 against John.

                              FANTASY BASEBALL

News: Garcia will pitch Game 2 of the NLDS, Benjamin Hochman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. (Thu Oct 8)

Spin: Garcia will battle with Mets' righty Noah Syndergaard in Game 2 of the NLDS on Saturday. The 29-year-old was excellent this year, posting a 2.43 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 129.2 innings, and he gave up two runs in seven innings during his only start against the Mets this year.

Right pitchers, right day, But the wrong teams.

He is but Harvey is also an ace, the Mets staff is super strong. Imagine if Wheeler didn't get hut this year. DeGrom, Harvey, Matz, Syndergaard, Wheeler and Colon (who had really had a nice year all things considered).

What the Rangers have accomplished so far this year is without a doubt, amazing!

Also, remember they have done this without Yu Darvish and Jurickson Profar.

Kudos to their manager, Jeff Banister!

                                    Jeff Banister >>>>>>>>>>>> Clint Hurdle

By the way, Banister was a coach in the Pirates organization for 29 years prior...

Cardinal fielders were handling baseball like a hand grenade in the 2nd inning, all 5 runs were unearned.

A double play should've been called as a result of Chase Utley's "slide."

Now I'm steamed from just reading those posts. That is total BS that he gets away with that and it benefits the Dodgers.

How do you gentlemen lean in today's games, sides- or totals-wise?

I looked at the Texas/Toronto game and thought I wanted to play the over if the line was 8.5 it opened 9 and went to 10, it still could get over but 10 is a lot tougher than 8.5 to get over. These 2 pitchers aren't the greatest right now.
