Hope everybody made money yesterday. Had a positive day yesterday was a half a point away from a great day. I will try to keep the positive days rolling after a rough first day.

Tulsa/EC Over 56 (1U)
Tulsa -7 (1U)
Tulsa returns 9 starters on offense led by QB G.J. Kinne, who last season had 2732 yards 22 TD and 10 INT. They are bringing back their 2 leading WR's Damaris Johnson and Charles Clay, who combined for 117 receptions and 1661 yards with 8 TD's last season.
The ECU defense lost 9 starters. You will have inexperience players trying to blitz to offset their inexperience. That may work for a young qb but Kinne is experienced and will consistently dump off short routes and pick this young and unexperienced defense apart. Look for Tulsa to score early and often. ECU is going to an AIR RAID offense with players that were not recruited to fit that scheme. Combine that with a new coach and a new system and that will mean this team will not gel early during the season. Tulsa's defense is only returning 5 starters which means that mistakes will be made and ECU will score but they will not be able to keep up with the more experienced Tulsa team and offense.

SMU + 14 vs Texas Tech (1U)
Everybody has overlooked the talent of this SMU team. First there is the offensive line led by junior Kelvin Beachem, who was a 2nd Team C-USA pick in 2009, to go along with four juniors returning that started multiple games last season. Then you have QB Kyle Padron who took over last year and with just seven starts, helped this team win the last five out of six games including a rout of Nevada with him throwing for 460 yds 2 tds and no interceptions. The kid is talented. Then you have the WR corps who lost Emmanuel Sanders to the Pittsburgh Steelers but three wideouts return that recorded 40 or more catches in 2009, so there will be a lot of options. The offense is ready to go against a TT defense that is adjusting to a 3-4 and that will not be a quick or smooth process especially with the losses on the front line. Tuberville will need time to add the big bodies needed for this system and that is time he hasn't had yet. Texas Tech is returning Taylor Potts who has always been inconsistent and he will be in a new system versus a SMU defense that has a solid front seven that is stout against the run and the quality of their pass rush should help a more inexperienced secondary. This game will remain close and possibly be a minor upset.
