Class of 2019 five-star offensive tackle and defensive end Chris Hinton committed to the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. He becomes the school’s fourth commit in the 2019 class.

A 6-foot-4, 265-pound product out of Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia, Hinton had unofficially visited Michigan’s biggest rivalry, the Ohio State Buckeyes, just two weeks ago. But despite 23 offers on the table from schools such as Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Stanford, Hinton signed on with the Wolverines.

He is ranked as the ninth-best player in the country overall and second-best player in the state of Georgia behind only five-star linebacker Owen Pappoe, who remains uncommitted.

By committing to Michigan, he joins fellow five-star recruit and defensive end, Stephen Herron Jr., who is listed as the top player in the state of Kentucky. Along with two other four-star commits, the Wolverines are off to a strong start for their 2019 class, already ranked inside the Top 10.
