1. Florida is vincible. Maybe they aren't going to waltz their way to the NC game by 50 pts a game after all. Tennessee is a lot better that most people are giving them credit for and their defense is one of if not the best in the country, but if UT had any kind of passing attack that game would have been too tight for comfort coming down to the end. Florida may be missing Harvin and Dubose more than you think. It looks like if Tebow is forced to stay in the pocket and pass, the Gators may have a little trouble. They are still the unquestionable #1 team in the country, but LSU is going to give them a game and a few other teams that I didn't think would be able to hang with them yesterday may be able to catch them napping. If it's Alabama in the SECCG it will be a whale of a game.
2. What a difference a Qb makes. Look at Washington. Last year they were one of the worst teams in the country and now they just upset USC and look like a bowl team. Arkansas and Michigan look like a much more dangerous teams. I'm seeing a lot of really talented teams with poor Quarterbacking (cough Tennessee cough) but I'm also seeing a few teams with mediocre talent with Qbs carrying their teams further than anyone expected. Which leads me to...
3. Jacory Harris (Miami FL) is a stud. The first two games, he looks calm and smooth in the pocket and throws a tight, accurate ball. We will see what happens over the next two games when someone gets in his face how he handles it, but I think Miami splits the next two games especially if Bradford is out. The winner of next weeks game in Blacksburg will be in the drivers seat in the ACC. It sure looks like Miami is back.
4. The letdown, look ahead, trap games. Wow another week and another victim. This is looking like a trend this year as it's difficult to keep college kids motivated week end and week out. I should start a thread on this so other posters more familiar with teams Im not can pinpont them.
5. With a Michigan State receiver wide open in the endzone, the Spartan Qb overshot him by a mile. Urban Meyer started packing his bags for South Bend, but thanks to Michigan State coaching staff and Kirk Cousins who threw a fair catchable interception to the Notre Dame db...Meyer's house will not be up for sale anytime soon. Was it the luck of the Irish, or Michigan State being Michigan State? Either way that sequence saved Notre Dame and probably kept Charlie Weis in South Bend another year.
