Bowl Game Line Movement. Week 1
There has been very little line movement in the bowl games, with the exception of the Syracuse-West Virginia game, which saw WVa. QB Grier take the chickens way out and decide not to play. That line went from West Virginia -7 and a Total of 75 to West Virginia -2 and a Total of 69.Other lines that have moved at least 1 point:

UAB from -1 to -2 over No. Illinois.
    Marshall USF Total from 54 1/2 to 55 1/2.
    La. Tech-Hawaii Total from 58 1/2 to 60.
    Missouri-Oklahoma State Total from 73 to 74.
    LSU-UCF Total from 54 1/2 to 55 1/2.

7 lines moved out of a total of 78 possible line movements. That is a very small number considering the number of injuries and players deciding not to participate in their Bowl games. This indicates that the sharps got in early, Joe Pub will attempt to wait until the last minute, and everyone is not very satisfied with the match ups.

Tough card this year......usually atleast 3 sides or totals jump out to me, but this year feels different for some reason?

Didn't the MAC go 1 for the bowl season last year...or winless? I find myself liking N Illinois, Ohio, and Buffalo

Somebody on here said the N Texas QB Fine isn't playing, but I haven't found that anywhere? The line hasn't moved from +9? I've been on Utah State all year and that one is interesting to me. Utah State should score at will on them. I also read where NT's coach is being mentioned for other jobs. Interim coaches/programs seem to get destroyed in the bowl games since the kids are often confused or considering transfers.

I always play La Tech, but their QB & offense is too shaky this year. They've won 7 bowls in a row I think, but I like Hawaii there. Love Jeff Brohm & Purdue, but Auburn didn't give a shit in their bowl last year and will probably show up this year.

Tough card, but hopefully it will clear up. I don't know how sharps can get in early when you don't know who's sitting out and which coaches are taking off. I remember cleaning up on Fresno one year out on Boise's blue field. GT guy left or got fired and they went all the way out there as a 4 pt favorite (I think?) when the kids didn't know which way was up. Easy Fresno blowout. Thats what we need to find!

The Sharps that I know play games where other than an injury, nothing is going to happen to change things. Alabama is a good example. Other than Tua and his injury, which most people think is serious enough to keep him at well under 100%, there will be no surprises. Ohio State was another easy prediction. Everyone knew that Meyer was gone. I said so when he got suspended. So there are not that many surprises.

2 games that appear too easy are: Ohio State and Oregon. Washington could not even score an offensive TD against Utah and the Buckeyes will be pumped to send Meyer out with a win. Huskies have a good secondary but Haskins and the WRs are elite.

Oregon seems easier as Sparty is just horrible offensively this year. LJ Scott declared and both their Qbs stink.

So does Ohio State roll in the bowl game or come out flat? I think Ohio State rolls.... winning one last one for the coach.

I can't imagine anything but an Ohio State rout against the Huskies. That line opened at OSU -4.5 and now is at -7 (-105, Bovada).

The Oregon one makes me nervous (as a Duck fan). On paper we should beat MSU easily but if Oregon can't move the ball they get flustered and the whole operation goes to hell. MSU defense is rock solid. I could see this game being 6-3.

In general, I'm fading the Pac-12. Lots of homers betting their teams to over value the spreads. Last year the Pac-12 was something like 2-10 in bowl games. Fading the Pac-12 in general against SEC and Big 10 teams is usually a pretty solid betting strategy. Out here on the west coast we always think we play good football until we move a couple time zones east and have to play with men. Something about snowflakes out here, I think I've heard
