Guidas "style" is infuriating to me. take down--stay there--never improve position--rinse and repeat so as not to get hit by superior striker etc. Oh well I guess it's up to Pettis to stop the takedowns--hope someone whips Guida---seems like a cool guy outside the octogon though

Yeah that sucks for Pettis because really what did Guida do with those take downs except for those shoulder strikes and taking the back at the end. We all knew if Guida was going to win thats how he was going to do it.

It takes a lot of skill to be able to stay out of a sub and keep that pressure on the ground. It's MMA no Kickboxing. There is more than one way to win. I appreciate all aspects of this sport. Guida is in your face the whole time pushing you to the brink every single second. That is fun to watch to me. Pettis didn't do anything either. That's why the judges had such a lopsided score.

To be honest I don't know how I would score that fight if I didn't have money on Pettis, to be honest I'd probably have to give it to Guida or a Draw if I scored the first round 10-10 because i honestly thought that Pettis threatened enough off his back to win the second round. I'll have to re-watch it. I enjoy the ground game too which is why I often defend people like Jon Fitch. But Jon is a lot more skilled and strikes alot more on the ground.

Ramsey came in with a completely different game plan than I expected. Good thing the Guida line got so high and I bet that fight.

Ferguson looked better at everything. He was out striking and out grappling ramsey in that round. The KO was the icing on the cake.

really? Ramsey was eating jabs in my opinion, but I was most surprised by the improvement of Chris Cope tonight. He really took advantage of his time in the spotlight.
