The gift called the "Feijão/Hendo Line"
Old man Dan's upside: the "H-Bomb" and a granite (but ancient) chin.

Feijão's: sharp & menacing punch combos, heavy/accurate/well-utilized knees, battle-tested cardio, remarkable striking reflexes, TDD for Dan's desperation shot....and youth...all heavily in his favor.

Dan will have to work too hard for a ground war and most likely wants to stand anyway. What's gonna happen when Feijão clinches? Dan won't disengage (or Feijão will be too strong), he'll go to the body or throw windmill punches...and eat some knees, trusting in his been-hit-too-much chin.

Dan has one weapon to win this fight and it happens to be a weapon that plays right into Feijão's strength. Feijão strikes with Anderson, Lyoto, Dos Santos, Aldo etc, striking is his realm, way more than it is Dan's...you think Feijão won't know how to avoid the overhand?

Cavalcante hit his prime in the Mo fight, people...Dan is years from his!

I got 'em at +200...misguided opinions are the shit.

I'll eat the crow (and a big loss) if Feijão loses...but on March 6th I think I'll only be eating lobster...bib on and all.

    Salute!

Couldnt agree more. I went extra large on this figuring I would be scalping back a large sum. Shocked line continued to climb on 5d for sometime after I put my play in. I expect this gets hammered down before fight night and goes off close to even. Maybe I am way off though.

not knocking your opinion....i can see taking those odds...but,imo,cavalcante isn`t anywhere near as good as anthony`s synopsis....he couldn`t sniff anderson, lyoto, dos santos or aldo`s jock in the striking dept...

not a knock on your effort....just my opinion...

The pace he and Mo fought at for 2 rounds proved his cardio IMO.

I think you're remembering right, Feijao's cardio has been an issue in the past. But he seems to be working on improving it. Still think it might be question mark. Hendo sometimes had questionable cardio at middleweight but at LHW his cardio seems ok.

Feijao's issue was his physique & cardio in the Mike Kyle fight and in some EliteXC fights before that, here he is before fighting Kyle then before he fought Lawal:

He toned out the dough, got rid of the chick hips/thighs, and added some nasty back muscle. Pics can't do the cardio question justice though (and barely the physique), but if his performance in the Lawal fight doesn't answer that question...maybe people need 2-3 more fights...but in that time Feijao won't be +200 against war-torn Pride antiques! (+170 @ 5D now )

And besides the cardio/physique problem Feijao had, it's not like Mike Kyle isn't legit, he nearly took out the man that took out "the man" -- on two weeks notice!

About Dan's cardio @ LHW -- it doesn't seem good from my point of view. His 2 minute mauling of glass-temple/no-head-movement Babalu tells nothing, and before that at 205 was against Rich; Dan fought on fumes from the 2nd round to the end of the fight.

Two years later he's a 7 minute senior stud at best...and that's ****** for him considering I don't think this match will even be determined primarily on cardio; but on speed, striking accuracy/lethality, and reflex, foremost...and Feijao holds the edge in all those areas imo.

Yeah, there is quite a difference in those pictures. I think you're probably right that his cardio is improved, but I also think it's hard to know after one fight that lasted a little over 2 rounds. This fight will tell a lot. If Hendo is smart enough and able to take Feijao down each round it could take a toll on Feijao's cardio as the fight drags on.

From my recollection of the Hendo/Franklin fight, he did look tired in the third round but I don't remember his cardio being noticeably bad in the second round. Maybe I remember it wrong. The fight before that at LHW he went the full 25 minutes with Rampage and I thought his cardio looked great. I remember before that fight, too, everybody was saying he would have the cardio advantage over 'Page. But ok, that fight was more than three years ago, and it's very possible that age has taken its toll. Still, I can only think of one fight at LHW for him where cardio was an issue, and even then he won the fight, so for me I can't yet say his cardio is questionable at this weight. Don't get me wrong, I like the Feijao pick
