Edit: And yeah of course he made it Look much worse. Who wouldn't, he knew he was losing big time.

True got to take the money over everything. when you know you were going to lose might as well not continue fighting. Smart by sterling.

Technical decision would probably be best. But I'll take it just like Jibbs. On to the next.

Should been a No Contest or Technical Decision with points taken from Yan imo but that is not what the ruleset says.

Hurts so much more to be pretty accurate in my read on the fight and lose on something that's never happened before in 26 years of UFC. Part of the game I guess.

I think the Rivera fight was closer. Rivera was edging the rounds but got dropped twice in the later rounds.

It was the closest but that judge who had Sterling had money on him lol. Yan really is one level above Sterling.

lmfao i seriously doubt by the time the fight was over two judges had sterling winning. Sterling was not going to make a miracle comeback and eat spinach like popeye and get his energy back.Well its easy to say its the closest fight since it was never even finished...

I disagree, I'm sorry. Let's say if Sterling was on top of Yan all 4 rounds, and Yan lands a horrible illegal knee to the head, would you think the same? That a rematch should decide the winner? Correct decision imo to give Sterling the strap. Yan needs to be ultra knowledgeable of the rules and not rely on his coaches.

That's what I mean, you can never tell with these fraud judges. But it's not like it wasn't a competitive fight.

True man that's how i felt, i knew he would stuff most of the takedowns and his striking is on point. In a five round fight i expected sterling to fade in the later rounds. Then that bullcrap happens

But it's not just about the cards, it's about the momentum in the fight. Sterling was gassed and couldn't get takedowns. He needed a KO standing or the first DQ in UFC title fight history.

I believe sterling would not of even survived till the end of the fight. I think yan would have finished him.

If it were a Technical Decision no, Sterling would win since under this scenario he was winning the rounds. My ideal scenario would be if the fouling fighter is winning, No Contest. If the fouling fighter is losing, Technical Decision.
