If it were a Technical Decision no, Sterling would win since under this scenario he was winning the rounds. My ideal scenario would be if the fouling fighter is winning, No Contest. If the fouling fighter is losing, Technical Decision.

Of course, being able to take the active scorecards in to equation would be the ideal scenario when an illegal strike takes place. But unfortunately that is not currently the rules of the sport.
