This is actually a tricky fight to play.. Chael has been out for so long (4 years). http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Chael-Sonnen-4112

Weigh ins are everything, if Chael looks juiced to the hilt he'll take down Tito and beat him like a drum.. If Chael is sloppy and old looking I give Tito the edge.. Tito has been the more active fighter.http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Tito-Ortiz-158

Chael is the slightly younger fighter at age 39.. I think you still gotta go with Chael if he's remotely in good shape..

Regardless Tito is done after at age 41 - http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Tito-Ortiz-Says-Win-Over-Chael-Sonnen-at-Bellator-170-Wont-Change-Retirement-Plans-115635

Props are out on this one fight.. I'm trying to think if there is value in "fight does not go the 3 round distance) at +135? Older guys,

Chael does usually go for the lay and pray but Tito is big, can wrestle and just might be able to keep this fight standing.. Perhaps then someone quits and or gets dropped..

If that happens maybe Tito knocks out Chael and then that prop ITD is +500...

If Chael is able to dump Tito on his back the and then pound out (ITD) is +230

If it does go the distance you gotta think Chael is gonna win rounds via lay and pray.. Chael by decision is +182

      Hmmmmm?

Tito Ortiz vs Chael Sonnen - Light Heavyweight 3 rounds - Bellator 170
      Sat 1/21 3003 Ortiz / Sonnen goes 3 round distance -175
      11:00PM 3004 Fight won’t go 3 round distance +135
Sat 1/21 3005 Ortiz wins inside distance +500
      11:00PM 3006 Not Ortiz inside distance -900
Sat 1/21 3007 Ortiz wins by 3 round decision +208
      11:00PM 3008 Not Ortiz by 3 round decision -288
Sat 1/21 3009 Sonnen wins inside distance +234
      11:00PM 3010 Not Sonnen inside distance -314
Sat 1/21 3011 Sonnen wins by 3 round decision +182
      11:00PM 3012 Not Sonnen by 3 round decision -262
      Sat 1/21 3013 Ortiz / Sonnen draw +6000
      11:00PM 3014 Fight not a draw -15000

Randy technically tapped out in this gif, Big John should have called it..

Fire you're probably right.. I can't argue your mma logic with this...Tito retiring may try hard to not get finished in this one, Chael never a big finisher.. Both old looking for a pay check gut it out.. This fight seems so WWE to me though.. lol..

i listen to chaels podcast once in a while hes taking this fight pretty serious he doesnt like tito and wants to get this win to get a few big name fights in bellator to give his baby some financial stability, dudes always been a beast wrestler and only losses by submission basically... tito isnt subbing him off his back most likely, tito will be the bigger guy but his body is the most damaged out of almost anybody in the game right now and hes bragging how hes training 15 times a day which is absolutely overkill .... i could see tito possibly stealing a round but its basically gonna be a wrestling match with some shitty standup, chael beat tito back in the day in a wrestling match and i see him doing that again, hes not tkoing tito and i doubt hell sub him either so ill ride the decision +183 is actually a pretty solid price imo chael is a beast when he gets top position he rides it out for minutes like its nothing

Chael is going to lose by decision like a retard.

Line movement indicates a win for big head Tito.

+100something Ortiz is the obvious play.

Anyone betting on chael is retarded.

                              Tito supported Donald Trump.

His intelligence is confirmed to be extremely underrated.

                              edit:

Maybe the closest thing to seeing both of these guys fight recently.

I think so.. Decent read by Combat press on the fight.. -

Bellator 170 - Welterweight 3 rounds - Great Western Forum - Inglewood, Caliornia - Spike TV
                                Sat 1/21 3101 Brennan Ward +150 o1½ +150
                                10:30PM 3102 Paul Daley -180 u1½ -180

Brennan Ward appeared to be marching toward welterweight title contention before his hopes were derailed by Evangelista Santos. Ward rebounded with a huge stoppage win over Saad Awad. Can he keep his momentum alive against Paul Daley?

This fight is perfect for both guys. Daley and Ward like to fight and will trade blows until their opponent falls over. Daley is a big step in the right direction for Ward if he wants to get back into the title picture. While Awad isn’t a bad addition to Ward’s resume, Daley is a UFC veteran who has been rather successful in Bellator’s welterweight division.
Ward has more avenues to win this fight. While Ward would probably prefer to stand with any fighter he takes on, his big advantage comes on the ground against Daley. If Ward approaches this fight like he approached his bout against Santos, then we might have a quick end to this fight yet again as Daley adds a flashy knockout to his highlight reel.
Ward needs to remember that Daley isn’t known for his grappling abilities, and his preference has always been to keep the fight on the feet and land the knockout blow. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule, but they’re just exceptions. Daley doesn’t ever look to bring the fight to the ground, where he has lost big fights before. Ward has an excellent chance to win this fight if he uses his wrestling. Daley’s takedown defense has improved, but it still leaves something to be desired.
Ward can’t get drawn into a firefight with Daley. It just isn’t a smart option. Ward could probably hang and win the fight on the feet, but the chances for a loss also increase. Ward has far greater odds to end the fight on the ground instead.

                                Brennan Ward the good -

                                Brennan Ward the bad -

Bellator 170 - Featherweight 3 rounds - Great Western Forum - Inglewood, Caliornia - Spike TV
                                  Sat 1/21 3301 Emmanuel Sanchez +110 o2½ -280
                                  9:30PM 3302 Georgi Karakhanyan -140 u2½ +220
More from Combat Press on this fight -

                                  Emmanuel Sanchez against Georgi Karakhanyan.

The best part about this fight is that we may see something very wild. Karakhanyan is great at finishing fights. He has 14 submissions under his belt and is coming off of two great knockouts that have formed his current two-fight winning streak. Karakhanyan was one of the top featherweights in Bellator. He was extremely close to fighting for the title before suffering losses to Daniel Weichel and Pat Curran.

This fight has a lot of top-tier implications, too. Sanchez is another fighter teetering around the upper portion of the division. While Karakhanyan is known for the finish in Bellator, Sanchez has been the opposite in his last four fights. He rode a three-fight winning streak of very close fights with a split decision victory in each. That all ended when he faced Weichel and fought to his fourth consecutive split scorecard. Sanchez was on the losing end against Weichel.

We could see a wide range here, and the uncertainty is great. Sanchez has looked good so far under the Bellator banner. He could get a big signature victory over Karakhanyan. Conversely, Karakhanyan could use Sanchez as a jumping-off point to get back into title contention and place himself in a No. 1 contender bout.

Only chance Tito has of beating Chael is landing a submission (+1285) by surprise maybe.. I don't think Tito is gonna knock out Chael or put Chael on his back or win a decision..

If Chael is anything like his former self in the cage he will put Tito on his back, wear him down and beat on him like a drum..

I'm considering taking Chael ITD even.. Since Tito is looking to retire after this fight he may look for an early exit if he's on his back getting pounded on...

Will be at this event live. My buddy says Chael for sure. I like Hisaki Kato but not sure if I want to lay -300.

This event takes place at the Fabulous Forum in Inglewood right near the USC college campus.. I should go as it's about a 25 minute drive from Santa Monica where I live.. Bellator events are fun, usually smaller venues so the seats are never that bad.. This event seems like it might be a bit bigger then the norm for Bellator....

It's suppose to rain like crazy so I think I'll kick at home and sit this one out.. Enjoy Unwritten Law.

Liking some of the dogs in this event actually for once.. Breaking my own rules of Bellator betting on this card.. This event is the only big MMA event for the weekend so all normal rules fly out the window..

Campos, Sanchez and Ward all capable dogs.. Not sure if I'm still gonna go with Ward though.. Daley could easily drop Ward standing if it becomes a stand up war which it could.

A few dogs could bark though IMO..

Think Ward tries to brawl with Daley and gets KOed. It's not really his nature to try to wrestle.

This event seems like it might be a bit bigger then the norm for Bellator....
