You guys get so caught up with what the dispensary you go to has on the top shelf. I'm not saying they are the highest end strains there is. I am saying I can get those or top shelfs, classic strains, newer hybrids. I can probably and have got what is on your local's top shelf. You can smoke a .8 of your girl scout cookies and I can smoke 1g of Sour D and get just as high...for less money. So talking the difference between 2 or 3 % is really quite ridiculous.

I'm not arguing that Cali has more weed, more readily available weed, cheaper prices. I'm just saying I can get pretty much anything you smoke there....here in NY. For a higher price and illegally. But it isn't 2004. While Cali is still thee place for marijuana in the U.S., it isn't like it used to be. Weed directly from your local top shelf isn't that hard to find over here. Like I said, I may not see the "new" hot strain for a handful of months after you do. But that changes with the wind.

Each year they may get 1% or more potent as they cross different strains. I don't know dispensaries like you guys, but from what I see online is just their flavor of the month being the top shelf. There are so many goofy strains out there now by crossing and re-crossing, seems as if whatever is new, is top shelf. Also probably has to do with the availability. While Sour D is everywhere, it may tend to be cheaper than a new strain. Call me a classic kind of guy, but a quality grown LA Confidential, Granddaddy Purp, Banana Kush, or Sour D does me quite fine.
