They typified what happened. What were some of the big shots Trout landed? How come nobody is making similar gif's of Trout's dominant moments? He had some good stretches and decent rounds and is an excellent fighter. It was competitive. But Canelo's quality was superior on at least 3 criteria and it was arguable on the other. The more you look at the fight, the more clear it is.

Out thrown and out landed. Lost the rest of the round he got a knock down in. Coasted because fight was over after 8.

It's not the amateurs. Throwing twice as much and landing slightly more doesn't guarantee a win, especially if much of what you land is glancing, partially blocked and/or not powerful. The last punch in the last gif, that Canelo rolled off is probably a punch landed for Trout but it doesn't mean much. Contrast that to the heavy jab, powerful jab in the first gif that moves Trout back.

True, degenerate gamblers often say sh!t is fixed, but you're silly to think that no fights are ever fixed. Some decisions are clearly fixed, there is no other excuse for it. Sometimes saying judges don't know how to score just doesn't cut it because some fights are clearly one sided and the decision goes the other way. Before the fix was in, they weren't certain it would be such a one sided fight, but all the money is already at stake and they can't back out. They put the wrong scores in, the loser wins the fight, and they collect their money. What's the down side for them? People call them "incompetent" on twitter for 10 minutes and then they're scoring another card within the same month.

it was a typical quantity vs quality fight..it was close.

you had canelo throwing much less but clearly landing the cleanest most damaging shots & then you had trout who lets his hands go alot more but did alot of missing & when he did land they were very weak shots.

canelo winning is not a robbery. but the 118/109 scorecard was a disgrace.

compubox doesn't take into account the quality of the punches & alot of times it marks down missed shots as landing.

i rememer when joe calzaghe defeated hopkins, the stats showed that calzaghe landed more punches on hopkins then any opponent had in compuox history.

& sports sites like espn would say that (with a very serious tone of voice) like hopkins took way too much damage & that it was probably time for the old man to hang em up..

but guess what? hopkins didn't even take any real damage! cause for the whole fight joe calslappy just kept chasing hopkins around throwing hundreds & hundreds of slaps ( 90% of which missed) & walking into clean counters many times. compubox is flawed dude...so just cause you post a bunch of their #'s doesn't mean your right.
