    Best MMA movies?
Iv'e caught a few MMA flicks lately. Netflix recommends themr. Cool thing with netflix is you can skip parts of bad movie pretty easy.

Anyway, Never back down... Funny, almost like a comedy. Karate kid only with MMA.
Never Back down 2... Unwatchable. UFC actors but also funny. Guy steals a gym. Mom gets job at strip joint. Everyone in is college is 30.
Warrior... This was probably the best of the 3 I can remember. Rocky meets Strikeforce. Rocky is played by Conan O'brien.

Worst part about all these is no fights ever go to decision... ever. One flying knock out, arm bar and choke after another... and of course everyone has titanium jaws.

Warrior is superb in terms of acting (not necessarily the MMA part), cinematography, soundtrack. ha and yeah he does look like Conan O'Brien!

"Beatdown" is not as bad it seems (starring Michael Bisping!) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1568323/

The Philly Kid was OK. Had Devon Sawa in it!

who do mma movies appeal to?

if you don't care about mma, why would you watch?

if you do care about mma, you'd recognize the real life stories are more compelling than the fictional ones ever could be.

Warrior was surprisingly non-shit! I watched it when it got added to Netflix. When I saw the trailer a few months back I saw a guy get powerbombed and thought it would be retarded, however it was great. It was surprisingly realistic.

I agree, but I thought it was going to be stylized to the point of being unwatchable - like watching a Van Damme film or something. It had a lot of elements which added to the enjoyment for me, like having the MMA Hour on it.

Yeah, they managed to keep it away from being too ridiculous. Nick Nolte and Hardy were awesome in it, and soundtrack with The National topped it off

Never Surrender has a few ufc guys in it, it was alright http://www.imdb.com/media/rm659524096/nm2303111

Anderson Silvas 'Likewater' is ok too, a documentary, it shows all the build up to the first Sonnen fight.

More old ones would be 'Best of the Best' and a good boxing one I remember 'The Gladiator'.

Bloodsport, Kickboxer, Best of the Best I/II and Lionheart are easy favs.

The Quest to a lesser extent. JCVD is just badass.

I forgot about Best of the Best. I watched that a ton of times on HBO as a kid. After I saw that movie I was always trying ridge hands in my kiddie karate class until they just told me to stop.
