So, I ended up sending my sister $100 worth of Monero.

The Crypto.com app wanted a $40 fee to send $60 worth of CRO ($100 total) - on the Ethereum blockchain. No way.

Ended up sending her $99.98 worth of Monero for .02 cents. Took 10-15 minutes.

I believe CRO is set to launch on their own blockchain on March 25. I think that's why the price has gone up lately. Hopefully, by getting off the Ethereum blockchain, fees will come down.... Eth fees are stupid/crazy right now....

What do u think about my Litecoin theory? Right now, some smallish transfers aren't cost-effective via Bitcoin. Truth is that MOST of the world population is impoverished.

My theory is that Low net-worth individuals will come to love Litecoin. Lower fees, quicker transactions. Great way to send money to family members across borders.

I like Litecoin OK. I don't own any, though. It is somewhat "established". It's usually one of the cryptos e-tailers will accept along with BTC, BCH and ETH. Litecoin gets taken for granted a bit, I think....

Until BTC and ETH get their act together with regards to fees, using Litecoin makes more sense.....

I root for all cryptos to succeed. What's good for one, is good for all.

Well, people have been saying for a quite a while that BTC = gold, LTC = silver. And Bitcoin has really taken to the "store of value" thing. Buy it, hodl it. Just that Litecoin hasn't really taken to being a daily usage type coin. A lot of contenders in the daily usage arena. And it's partly an adoption issue. And Charlie Lee bailing didn't help....

Not sure. Like Arky says, Charlie Lee departure and they've had some negative press in last few years.

My point is that I can see a use-case for LTC. BTC/LTC ratio is ~ 290:1. Feel like it can get back to 200:1 over time.

There are coins like Nano and Hathor. No fees.

Personally, not a fan of Litecoin.

There are coins like Nano and Hathor. No fees.

Litecoin isn't free. But it's very cheap. I like it because it's been around forever too. Litecoin has also been adopted by most sportsbooks and various retail shops.
Eventually a coin will be adopted that is completely free to send and virtually instant. And eventually (hopefully) that will make companies like Amex obsolete.
