TECH is cooked. Long ball got em again and their offense is nowhere today.

LSY & TCU in control late. Parlay looking good. Combing over info for the night games, probably one more play coming.

        May 22: Mississippi State -150 @ 9pm ET
Took most of the day to find out the starter for State, but now that it's out of the bag - this could float out some, so if you agree you might jump on it quickly. Ross Mitchell for the Bulldogs. Mitchell had a 1.85 ERA this season with a .215 BA. He's a lefty who just knows how to pitch. Kentucky goes with a freshman Zack Brown. 5.85 ERA/.365 BAA. Yikes! To me, it looks like Kentucky is willing to drop a game to preserve all their bullets for the end of the tournament. State looks like they have their eyes on the big prize and are putting forth their best to lock up some rest on the way to a possible Championship Game. State looked phenomenal in crushing South Carolina yesterday. If they can jump on Brown early, this could be another relaxing day at the park with Mitchell on the mound. Mitchell will need his best stuff though as this UK club can rake and beat a very good pitcher yesterday (Short) from Florida.

Disappointing finish with the Mississippi State hatchet job. Travelling tomorrow. Will post picks, but no write-ups.

Regionals begin Friday. Should be a good money making opportunity as books tend to start setting totals and spreads which can be very beneficial. Futures also a good thing to look at. Will be previewing a couple select Regionals.

Starting with these for sure on Friday. Have a couple more I am monitoring to see if spreads and/or totals will be posted. Often on the first day of Regionals, it seems 5Dimes posts those late if at all for these games. Also waiting for the futures to be posted. A couple Regionals have some good upset potential. Gainesville w/Florida hosting, Coral Gables w/Miami hosting & Charlottesville w/Virginia hosting all could see an upset winner at a nice price. Will check in the morning and post up ASAP for any plays made for anyone who cares. Good luck!

                              STILLWATER REGIONAL: Nebraska +145
Prototypical Pitching vs. Offense here as Nebraska takes on Cal State-Fullerton. CSF will put Eshelman on the mound. He's a stout 8-3 with a 1.92 ERA and .218 BAA. He does not walk batters. The Titans are #1 in D1 with a 2.03 team ERA. Nebraska counters with Sinclair who was 9-1 with a 2.29 ERA and a .241 BAA. He comes off a rough outing in the B10 tournament, so he'll need to turn it back up. This could be a good spot for that, facing a CSF squad that hits just .260 and has scored only 254 runs. That compares to the Huskers mashers who have put up a .293 BA and 353 runs. They have six regulars hitting over .300 and will put pressure on a Titans staff that likes to pitch to contact. Nebraska has seen and beat quality pitching this year in Oregon State and Washington, so they should have a legit shot if Sinclair rebounds. This is more of a hitters park and that should have Nebraska's hitters itching to go.

The Horns and Aggies resume an old rivalry this weekend. UT puts out their stud, Nathan Thornhill who was rock solid with a 6-2 mark, 1.51 ERA and a .198 BAA. He dominated Oklahoma State in the Big 12 tournament, giving up just two hits in 6 IP. The Horns rely heavily on solid pitching and defense. They are 10th in D1 with a 2.45 ERA. They have great depth on their staff and quality finishers. A&M puts out their best in Mengden who has struggled with consistency much like this entire A&M team. He is 4-8 with a 3.55 ERA and a .247 BAA. He is close to a K per IP guy though, so he's got quality stuff, but he's allowed a lot of base runners - UT will punish that with small ball. Mengden gave up four ER in a 4-0 loss in the SEC tournament to an Arkansas team built a lot like this Texas club. A&M can hit with a .286 BA and 308 runs scored. UT has hit better away from him at a .291 clip, 30 points above their season numbers. This is likely to be a low scoring game where execution on the basepaths and pitching win. Both should favor UT just enough.

PARLAY: Louisville + Ole Miss [-124]
Two Regional hosts. Louisville battles Kent State. It's Funkhouser vs. Clark. Funkhouser is 12-2 with a 1.81 ERA and .025 BAA. He strikes out a batter per inning, but is wild at times. Clark was brilliant with a 1.07 ERA in time split between the rotation and bullpen. He has a .161 BAA. This will be a large step up though compared to MAC competition. Louisville's offense is tied for 12th in D1 with 385 runs scored. Kent State wasn't far behind with 373 runs scored, but again that came against some lesser competition. I think Louisville's balance and experience though should deliver a W. Ole Miss is at home against Jacksonville State. Ellis starts for the Rebs. He is 9-1 with a 2.17 ERA and a .264 BAA. He will give up hits, but has shown a great ability to avoid trouble. He's backed by a versatile and deep bullpen. JSU tosses Fowler out. He was 7-7 with a 3.58 ERA and a .244 BAA. The Ole Miss lineup led the SEC with a batting average just over .300 with 358 runs scored. JSU scored more runs at 375, but the quality of competition was much lesser. JSU will need a quality start from Fowler to avoid getting into a pitching staff that overall has a 4.56 ERA too early. If Ole Miss can jump on JSU early, they will be tough to beat.

Going to try & craft an Open Parlay for the weekend and see if I can't find 12 solid bets to fill it. Certainly the chalk will be high, but the payoff
should still be very solid depending on some of the "small" chalk inserted. The idea is to nail the first eleven slots and then always, always hedge
with something on the 12th slot even if taking a -1000 favorite! Going to try and keep the highest chalk to what you see in these first picks at around
                                  -1500 and sprinkle in others.

Let's see if we can't start off with some winners on Friday.

                                                      STILLWATER REGIONAL: Oklahoma State-Binghamton Over 9.5 [-135]
I think there is a good opportunity to see some runs this evening as OSU hosts Binghmaton. The Cowboys have been an offensive juggernaut in their home park this year, averaging right at seven runs per game. Binghamton puts Cryts on the bumps. He is 5-5 with a 3.90 ERA/.247 BAA. By far, this will be the most talented lineup he has faced. OSU counters with freshman Tyler Buffett. He had a solid year with a 3-1 mark and a 3.22 ERA/.243 BAA. I do think though that with him being a 1st year player, nerves could give Binghamton's offense a chance to score a few runs to aid this cause. He had a shaky performanec in the B12 tournament, giving up six runs against Oklahoma in just 2+ IP. Binghamton hits .277 as a team, scoring 257 runs. OSU hit .274 and scored 369 runs. Their explosive ability was on display at the B12 tournament when they scored in double digits twice. Good pitching may keep them down, but that is not what they will see tonight. If they can knock out Cryts, the bullpen has some decent arms - but overall, this team will give runs up with a team ERA over 4.00. Expect OSU to do most of the heavy lifting for this, but I think Binghamton can scrape 2-3 to help push this game into double digits tonight.

GAINESVILLE REGIONAL: College of Charleston +2.5 [-120]
Charleston had a challenging out-of-conference (OOC) with NC, SC & Houston - so facing a talented, but flawed Florida team won't phase them. Probable starters are Taylor Clarke for CoC and Logan Shore for FLA. Clarke is 10-3 with a 2.65 ERA/.211 BAA. Shore stands at 7-3 with a microscopic 1.99 ERA/.228 BAA. CoC sports a .261 BA with 290 runs scored. UF is hitting .267 wth 285 runs scored. These teams are built similarly to rely on pitching and defense to supplement average offenses. The SEC tournament was a microcosm of the season for Florida. They lost twice by two runs, shut down by good pitching and then won three with better hitting. They played a lot of close one & two run games against the top tier SEC teams and this looks to be one that might shape up the same if Clarke can get CoC off with a quality start. FLA is 16-6 in one run games, delivering the most Ws in D1 in that stat category. That's roughly 35% of their games that were decided by a single run. An upset is possible here, but given that CofC can struggle at the plate some, I think it's wiser to go with the spread.

Ga.Southern visits FSU. The ACC has a habit of seeing a national seed duck out early. FSU knows all too well from 2013. Howard, the lefty for GS. Compton for FSU. Howard has solid K stuff and will look to negate the top Miles hitters who are lefties. Compton has a 3.06 ERA with a .272 BAA. He's huggable. GS can rake with 401 runs scored, ranked 8th in D1. FSU ranked 10th with 388. GS played Clemson & Ga.Tech from the ACC, scoring two wins in four games. This GS team is eerily similar to the Indiana club that beat FSU out of their home regional last year. If GS jumps out early, watch out. 0.5 unit.
